XBox 360 Pad, XBox One Pad or PS3/4 pad?

Wireless 360 pad. Works great and the eneloop batteries I use with it last ages. Shame the xbone pad is wired for pc, hope they add a wireless receiver at some point and i'll get one.
The ps3 pad is good to use for fighting games as the 360 pad sucks for that.

Care to explain? I have no issues with fighting games on the 360 pad. I do own both btw.
Where native controller support is present, it's generally for the Xbox pad.
If you're looking to get an Xbox One at some point, buy the Xbox One pad. If not, get a 360 one. The 360 pad costs less and you can pick your choice of wired or wireless. With the Xbox One pad, you have to hook it up to the PC via micro USB cable.

No idea why people use wired pads, just another wire you don't need.
Couldn't you say the same for wired mice? A wired controller doesn't bother me. It was cheaper, no need for batteries and I rarely use it so its not always plugged in.

You could, but why add more wires. Also with a wireless pad you can sit on the sofa and play PC games on your TV
The 360's d pad is not great for fighting games imo. I was failing to pull off many of the more difficult moves and combos, but found it a lot easier with the ps3 pad.
Its quite a common complaint going by youtube and forum comments on the subject.
Hopefully that's something that has been addressed with the xbone pad.

Ah yes, the d-pad on the 360 controller is pants. You are making me want to setup my ps3 pad now lol.

how annoying. having to spend more money on not just a controller, but an extortionate necessary receiver to even use the thing.

£6 for a knock off on the bay. The ms one is known to overheat and die
The newer ones aren't so bad, I have a couple of the silver wireless ones that have the twist-popup dpads and they are much better.

A PC isn't an Xbox so why does that surprise you?
The recievers are cheap and work for all wireless controllers including the Xbox Steering wheel and Guitar Hero!
A pc isn't a ps4, yet my dual shock 4 works wirelessly with my PC. So yeah, it did surprise me to be honest.
I thought the xbox pads were bluetooth. Like the ps4 pads.
How backwards are MS? They are a leading technology company! Surely they can sort out a wireless receiver in less than a day!Microsoft opted for a custom wifi based approach, to reduce input lag compared with bluetooth. No idea what the latency difference is (or even if there is one) as a result of that choice.
I wouldn't have been happy paying £20 for an official receiver, but £5 for a cheapo ebay one was acceptable.
thanks for the explanation.PS3 but only because I'm too tight to spend money on a receiver for one of the 5 Xbox 360 I seem to have collected (instead I doom myself to having to remember how to install the PS3 driver every time I need to add it to a new machine).
