One hell of a bargain, a top end Rega turntable:

In the process of being set up. :D

What's the bargain then? :D

That actually looks so smart, I haven't been diving for a good couple of years but want to go now.

For me it was between the Petrel, OSTC and the X-Deep. They're the three main competitors, (the Suunto Steel I don't like for various reasons) and they basically all do the same job (ignoring CCR factors here) so it came down to price and availability.

Set myself a budget for £300 and posted on a FB Diving group and had this one arranged within a few hours. I sold my D4i for £202 which meant the upgrade cost me £98. :)

Nice, I saw on their site that waiting times for a new one are several months lol

Indeed. The problem they had, they created an awesome product for a low price point and the demand was way higher than they anticipated. And the first batch that went out the door had some QC issues, so they had to go back and get repaired, causing further delays.

They're getting there with the supply/demand bit now, and the QC problems have gone away. I've had a few chats with a guy I know through friends in the in the industry who works for X-Deep, they expected a lot of orders but received about 7 x the amount they expected :-/ - haha!

I'd had my eye on the X-Deep from the minute it came out, it's a modern Tec computer with new ideas, it's well thought out. I knew 2nd hand was going to be the only way I'd get one quickly.

Went for the black case myself as it'll be sitting next my Playstation consoles so it'll fit right in. I did like the white one though and I imagine it'll be a lot less dusty looking compared to the black one :p. Great little cases and much more understated than most, only a fiver too. Shame the Pi itself hasn't arrived yet...
