Had a bit of a spend up :)

John Lewis Calia desk. Love it!!! Super sturdy, great looking, ideal size, plenty of storage.
What more can you ask from a desk?!

Ignore the cabling, it's not staying these so I've not bothered too much.

Next up a new 24" monitor, but not decided on one yet.

Then some matching furniture, reshuffle of the room and I'll be done :)

Love that desk

I'm after a new one that looks great.

Desk looks good. Not sure about that chair though.
I like to slouch as much as I can.

(legs are currently across my desk, knocked over headphone stand)

Chair's not the most comfortable to be fair, was only £99!
Thing was I needed one that didn't look out of place with the desk, and didn't have castors for the sake of the carpet.

I really wanted this, but I just couldn't justify £375 on a chair. Maybe an upgrade for future.

still no good for slouching though....

Wow, really like that watch.
Rotary do some really nice designs.

To be fair they didn't have much to design when they ripped off a Breitling.

Corsair 750D. Second hand bargain at 80 quid. 10 days old according to the receipt and looks as though its only been out of the box once and not had anything installed into it. Pleased as I've been after one of these. :)

You can ask that it not be £550! It's a nice desk, solid oak etc. very smart, but value for money it ain't, considering the drawer units aren't even full height.

Do you have a project in mind for it or is it just for tinkering? I have ordered a new one but RS Online are saying back order and will not be depatched till at least the 27th Feb.

Tinkering and using it as a software defined radio. I cancelled with RS yesterday and ordered with CPC, it arrived this morning.

It looks as if CPC have been offering a much better service than RS, who have upset a lot of customers by failing to deliver thse after showing them as being in stock.

I know that the board itself is the same, but it interesting that the 'retail boxes' these ship in are different from the two companies... an image of the RS one was posted earlier in this thread.

My only problem at the moment is finding the time to spend enjoying my new 'toy', as my wife seems to keep finding me essential jobs around the house, all of which just have to be done NOW! :)

Granted, it's not cheap, but it's solid, will last forever.
Whenever I go for a new desk it won't be because this one needs replacing!

The drawers are the full depth of the desk so provide plenty of storage. To have them the height of the desk would ruin the aesthics which is the main selling point in my opinion.

I did look at quite a few and this was probably the most expensive, but ultimately was also the one I went for. I guess 'value' is subjective.
It was an extravagance for sure, but not one I regret...
