I got round to overclocking my card the other day and got it to a point where i was happy with it, so i stopped. Played for a while then turned off my PC, used it a few times and for some random reason i thought i'd see what the temps of my GPU were, went onto Afterburner and noticed my clocks had gone back to default.

I followed the guide on how to overclock a AMD card. Very simple and easy to follow I must admit, well done to whoever wrote it :P

Anyway, what am i doing wrong?

Also, how does my fire strike fair against you guys?

I don't really know where i stand in terms of this. I see everyone else using it so i thought i'd give it a go.

And this is my card at stock.

I would say its slightly low when comparing to my own setup. I have the 290 non x pcs+ and my score is similar at stock. I do score higher on the physics test by around 1000 points which may make the difference. I would have thought an i5 4690 would score more in the physics test at 4.6ghz.

I didn't really know what i was going in for so i did have quite a few other things open at the same time which may have affected it but not much?

I only have the demo version on steam so i can't compare it to others that are.
It says it beats a 'high end gaming PC' with an i7 and a Titan, can't complain, but everyone i have seen the High end gaming pc changes haha

Don't apply overclocking at start up but instead save them into a profile..
And load the profile up once windows has booted. Do this for little while till you feel 100% your overclock is stable. Then apply at startup..

Okay, i shall keep that in mind for when i do it again. I'm really liking this overclocking stuff. It's fun and a good way to waste time when I'm bored.

That's my card running at stock 1040/1350. I would expect a 290x lightning with similar clocks to score above me not below. Taking cpu's aside my graphics score should not be higher.

My card stock is 1030/1250.

I ran it again and got a better score this time.

I beat yours on graphics, just! and you destroyed my CPU.
