New build for GTA V medium settings

Does anyone have any advice about a new build capable of running GTA V on medium settings at around 30fps?

What parts and prices would I need? I am on a budget hence the words "Medium Settings" and "30fps"

I would prefer an AMD board and CPU but if I could get Intel at a good price I would consider them.

Thanks

Well we don't know what build would run at 30fps Medium as it's not released?
What's your budget?

Medium @ 30fps is console territory truth be told.

My advice (and I know it's hard waiting) but wait until it's released (just over a month unless they put it back again).

Once it's released and people have had their hands on it we will know exactly how well it runs and how CPU/GPU/RAM dependent it is.

Instead of picking a specific game and performance targets, start with a definitive budget and work from there.

If you know how much you have to spend then you have something to work from.

The ability to run GTA V at 30fps on medium settings is the budget. My point is I don't want a rig that runs it on ultra settings at a 4k resolution. I don't have the budget for that.

In response to another commenter, I don't want a console

Ask this question again in 8 weeks and we will have an answer for you.

You must have a price in mind?

well, would a rough guess of "probably about £600" get you on your way? There's plenty that will fit in that sort of price and I'd be suprised if the resulting machine couldn't run it at 30fps with average settings considering things look very positive in the direction of optimizations/etc they are doing for the game at the moment.

£600 will run pretty much anything else out at the moment @ 30fps/medium so it seems a fair ballpark if that's what you were after.

For specifics - impossible until they at least release specs, as has been suggested, better to wait till the game is out.

Do you need an OS, KB&M, Monitor & Case?

Every spec will just be supposition until the game gets released and tested by people with all manner of rigs however.

The general idea is to build the best / fastest PC you can afford regardless of how an individual game might perform. For this we need some basic info. i.e Budget and components you might already have.
