By the looks of this game Di Maria isn't a £60m player either (barely a £6m player)

Di Maria & RvP (apart from the elbow, which probably deserved a yellow) have both been pretty invisible

When we've got it to ADM he has been good though. We just can't get the ball to the attacking players at all. The problem is further down the pitch.

Herrera on for Rooney or wilson and herrera on for Falcao and RvP and move Rooney up front.

It just seems insane to play three strikers (not all as strikers) at the expense of the team in general, given Van Gaal has talked about 'balance', etc, etc. It's like he's trying to play the best players, rather than the best team... or wants to have all the players who can crack out a moment of brilliance on the pitch at any given moment (when Manyoo were being particularly bad, they still had RVP and Rooney who could save them with a moment of individual brilliance).

He's trying to play oyr biggest waged strikers all at the same time like a well paid battering ram hoping to pick off weaker teams with punted long balls hoping to pounce on a defensive mistake.

attacks are built from the back in LVG tactics sadly united have a very poor back 4 and only a half decent midfield.

If you want to play a possession game, you need patient players who can pass the ball well. Herrera, Mata, etc - nowhere to be seen.

The balance is all wrong and I'm not sure why, I don't believe LvG would persist with this deliberately as he's not stupid.

The effort just hasn't been there either up to now either, that plays a big part regardless of formation and personnel.

this is why I dont understand why on earth got falcao in. No point having great attackers if you have 2nd class defenders and midfielders

On the plus side we've still never won the EUFA Cup or Europa Cup so we could be one of the top contenders next year. It's our best chance of qualification for bthe Super cup.

This is not the first time he's played this system. And it never looks good.

I know, but it's done reasonably well so that's why he's kept playing it.

RvP and Falcao have a lack of speed, so Wilson would help there. RvP at least has never relied on speed, but due to our inability to pass the ball around properly we never find him.

Rooney shouldn't be in midfield. Herrera should be playing, Mata should probably be playing and Fellaini has done a good job lately and offers something different.

Di Maria can't affect the game properly in this system either.

Do Man U have a recognised right back on thier books ?
