Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [7th - 11th February 2015]

Zouma & Matic were excellent yesterday but credit has to go to Howard and Cech who both made some unbelievable saves, Howard in particular was brilliant considering he's been out for so long.

LVG seems very concerned by the performances (which is good), so he'll hopefully shake things up a bit now.

Premier League: Louis Van Gaal fears unrest among Manchester United fans despite Burnley win

Its not that different to what he has said previously - Im not holding my breath in regards to LvG making more sensible choices in regards to using players in their rightful position

The next shakeup will be Felliani up front and Valencia back in the team to whip in killer crosses and beat left backs for pace.

In all seriousness though, we do need to start performing and getting results on merit because we have tough games coming up and losing 2 or 3 of them could leave us in 6th place. We get it, LvG doesn't have the players he wants in the positions he wants but he is making it worse by rotating the squad so much whilst playing people out of position and relying on two misfiring strikers.

The only explanation is the ref saw the incident and at the time just thought he was restraining McCarthy rather than being the aggressor.

It would have been great to see JM's reaction to him getting banned though :(

The FA are just a joke, their disciplinary procedure needs an overhaul.

I find this post funny because it sounds like you think the FA has a disciplinary procedure ;) :p.

They are a horrifically organised and ran organisation, however not even close to being as bad as FIFA.

Carroll's supposedly out for the rest of the season.

Liverpool paying £35m on him was mental but West Ham paying around £20m (all in) for him considering we were desperate tosell and given his form and injury record for the previous 2.5 years, was ****ing nuts.

£20m + a 5(?) year £100k per week deal for a club of West Ham's size and financial muscle has got to go down as one of the worst deals of all time.
