Hello all

Just wondering if anyone has any experience which card and it is any good? I can get it for £30 from a friend as my GPU died and I want a cheap gaming build.

I'm running an Athlon II X4 645 3.1 GHz
8GB RAM
Corsair CX600 PSU

I had a HD 6770 in it before but it's dead now so this should be a pretty nice jump? what FPS should I expect from newer games @ 1080p?

I have never used one before but for £30 you cant go wrong!

can always use it as a pit stop till amd release their new gpus.

I have a radeon HD 5830 which I use for gaming at 1080p and its not bad, will be waiting to see what amd release next

It's a decent card at 1080p and worth about double what you'll be paying. Definitely a solid step up from a 6770.

Yeah pretty good card, would run bf4 on high and most other games, i used to have one.
Can't go wrong at that price!

Used the exact same card for almost three years and it was brilliant for the money. In a way, I was happier with it than with my current 970 because the 7850 performed better than I expected throughout it's lifetime but I've only had my 970 for about two months and its image is already tarnished by the whole 3.5gb ram shenanigans. Plus, I can't even max out Tomb Raider at 60fps and it's a bloody old game by today's standards;p

I think you can't go wrong with the 7850 at that sort of price. As for framerates, you should be able to play most newer games quite comfortably if you turn down some settings.

I'd say 30-40fps on high at 1080p, basically it's the gpu inside a ps4

I would definitely say the 7850 is going to be noticeable improvement over the 6770 (which was a 5770 with an updated HDMI socket and UVD chip):

Yep, that cards worth £50 at least, nice stop gap at 1080p.
