Couldn't be on last night, but had some good games in the afternoon. Second epic RPG on a LB in a week, I like it when they get in your face.

Much to my shame I did start sniping from the roof on scrub zone. Starting to get the hang of it though.

The rpg on that LB is what got you the most point in that round as the bolke had 20 to 0 Killing spree but epic shot :P

Jared sent me this, thought it was epic! :D

^ Explains HL perfectly, played a bit got to 25 lvl, the motorbike and car has amazing suspension you press W and ho trough map, hills, stones, buildings you name it..its a bigger joke then SpinTires, I will not pick that game up unless it's £15...I like my BF3/4 for now...hopefully servers get populated again whn the beta finishes....

Brilliant games this weekend:

Bf3 with Tony Josh and co was fun. Solid defense on rush followed by steamroller attack

More fun with Smartka and the other Hazard..

But the best game of the weekend for me was my last one on Zavod with aFanatic and Stulid..

We really tore them one there.

Is Xonatic known to OcUK? He's pretty good.

I have played with him before, but he is not known to me...also his top weapon is 870 shotgun....so he is a scrub like me :D

Success finally have a BT engineer coming tomorrow. Posting on the BT forums, making up some stuff that I'm a youtube celebrity and I need a stable connection worked lmao

Thanks for your email. I called you back on (x) to discuss this further with you, sorry to have missed you. I was unable to leave a message to let you know that I called.

In that case, I can send an engineer to investigate this. Before booking an engineer, I need to make you aware of the following:

Engineer visits
If we send an engineer out to you, they’ll check our network and your home setup. If they find the problem’s with our network, the visit’s free. If the problem’s at your end (like your wiring, the way you’ve connected your equipment, or wireless interference), we’ll have to charge you £129.99.

Could you email me with a date that would work for you. I'll do my best to get you an appointment on that day. Our appointments are Monday to Friday, in the morning (8am to 1pm) or the afternoon (1pm to 6pm). I cannot book next day appointments. Let me know if you need anything else also.

Regards

Claire

BT Care

Should I put their HomeHub back in place before their visit and remove my AC66U?

That's their standard if it's your fault were going to charge you through the nose threat email, although the charge was only ~£80 last time I was with BT.

You should be fine with your router attached to their hub as long as it's not the router which is the issue.

Manju have you tried using the homehub as the main router ? cos if the problem is your router it will be expensive...both getting new router and the call out for BT engineer...

what seem to be actual problem ? You have bt hh as a modem and then asus as a router yes ? do you have problem s with stability or pings ? have you tried disabling wireless and on cable ?or does it not work at all ?

He is a forum member. Massive noob though. Sadly I have known him for years and years to my detriment. He uses a different name on the OcUK Forums than Battlelog. I'll let him reveal himself (giggity) if he wants to. He did play in the KillRoy AMD event.

Yes tried the standard HH. The problem is with stability. When the weather is bad (gales, snow, heavy rainfall) my connection drops and the dsl green light on the modem turns off when it happens. It's why I was constantly disconnecting from BF games a few weeks ago.

I've looked at the drop cable and mine appears to have a lot more slack compared to the neighbours. I think it has become lose either from the pole end or the junction box which is on the exterior wall of my house. Either way their Service Monitoring team did say "there was a problem with the copper cable entering my home".

Although the weather is fine now and therefore my connection is stable I want them to inspect and fix the cable as I don't want bad weather to affect my broadband any longer.

Oh that makes sense then, you ain't paying em fkerz a penny unless they fix it... It's their wiring, I was working for a network company a bit and seen the looms on their exchanges and their work... just....sad

Notify him to come here and reveal himself ! the pressure is on

Walking past some of the VM cabinets makes me wonder how they sustain any service at all.

Often the "cabinet" is just a hole in the ground with a green plastic sheath on top which for some reason is placed precariously on top in such a way that it neither protects the wires or stops the hole filling with water. Then there's the ivy growing between the wires. *facepalm*

Openreach have just left. They identified the fault for now they've put me on another line coming from the hub. What he said was they identified the fault coming from the hub to the pole which under heavy rainfall is getting flooded and then drys out causing the intermittent disconnects. The fault he said is with the joints and it's good that they caught it now. I told him where the pole is when it rains heavily there is a drainage problem as that area gets a huge puddle.

He can't get under the manhole covers due to heatlh and safety so has to log a fault for another team to investigate and repair. Apparently they could carry out the job themselves a few years ago but times have changed.

He said to wait and the only real test is after the repair has been carried out to see if heavy rainfall etc affects my broadband, if it does then they may have to change the drop cable too.
