I have sold yet another item (a old PC case) on Ebay and the buyer has yet again failed to make any attempts at payment, isn't replying to my messages either. Getting SO fed up with eBay, nothing but issues. Kinda have no option to use them as there is no alternative!!

Ebay is full of idiots and chancers. I only use it for tat lIke phone covers.

I shudder at the thought of an RMA.

Whilst scammers and time wasters are a lot rarer on the MM, it isn't exactly a seller's paradise. Expect to sell things for less money than you'd get on ebay; after all you're selling to a much more limited (and knowledgeable) userbase.

ebay is becoming a pain to sell stuff on at the best of times, after you have paid all the fees sometimes it just is not worth the hassle. I sold a 24 inch CRT monitor on there once, in the listing it said collection only, and of course UK only, what do I get bidders from Lithuania and the likes FFS, it sold to a bloke in Edinburgh in the end [I am in the Midlands] he supplied the courier must have cost him 3 times as much as the old CRT did.

There's always Gumtree.

I once showed interest in a car in Essex on Gumtree. Caught a train down there, met the dude at the train station, he took me for a drive and offered me the wheel. Before driving I wanted to have a look at the car and said so.

It had HGF, two punctures (I could literally hear the tires deflating as I stood next to them) and the rear discs were spray painted, and still had the wet pain on them.

When I said I'd think about it, he hopped in and drove off, leaving me stranded in the middle of bloody nowhere. It was a long walk but a lesson well learned.

Awe Diddums...

Screw you guys :D

In hindsight it's pretty funny. I couldn't even get angry at the time either, I just looked at the situation from an outsider's point of view and laughed at how naive and stupid I was.

Didn't help that he looked nothing like Del Boy!

Dammit, your signature made me think I had a mark or something on my monitor...

Better to have a non paying bidder than to send the case off to the seller and then to get messed about. At least you will get your seller fee's back eventually.
