China to invest $19B into AMD - no buyout on the cards

Andy responds with facts, and you tell him to find a real hobby. You make it sound like pulling you up on nonsense is his hobby. Nice, real nice.
Hopefully you don't get too offended and start flagging posts you disagree with as personal insults.

In it he talks about "hiring forum warriors" and not much else, i mean who is that aimed at?
He gets so badly provoked by some people on this forum i'm amazed he hasn't snapped yet.

If he wants a prober response then he's should write posts that aren't attacking people who aren't even involved in the conversation.

No revenue?
You do realise that AMD's revenue is actually 20-30% higher that nvidias right?
The difference is that nvidia make a profit and funnel some of that back in to R&D, AMD hire an ever increasing army of forum warriors and PR mouthpieces and wonder why they are consistently in the red

I hope it does go through, ever escalating nvidia prices due to a total lack of meaningful competition is not good for my whingeometer

AMD only have about $2.8bn in assets and no profit, so no way anyone is going to invest $19bn, you could actually buy AMD for $4bn based off their current balance sheet

Can they build their own fab with this?

One like this you mean?

Oh, i thought you got paid for your posts?
Sorry buddy, hopefully with this company investing they might have the spare change to give you lot ;)

Don't take it out on Andy, just say no to AMD or quit.

:D

Do you see AMD-Rep under my signature? I'm not the "Forum Warrior" they hired, quite obviously. All my opinions here are my own, i don't get a penny from AMD or anyother Hardware Vendor.

Usual palm off ;)
Or is it some kind of NDA thing, by telling you get sacked? Or is it for tax purposes? Don't worry, i wont say anything. Good on you, bro.

You and Andy really are trying to convince people that AMD run around hiring insurgents. Or is it you who are convinced of it?

Tinfoil Hat guy's, get a grip.

A clever ploy to keep you in all threads? With great power comes great responsibility and you couldn't join in the other threads. I think you are AMD's secret weapon in the fight against anything anti-AMD

Not a bad thing is it.

I never suggested it was. Draw whatever conclusion you want from that sort of recruitment.

Personally, AMD payroll or not - I'll never take information posted from such an employee at face value. Had an agenda before and is paid to have an agenda now. Why would I trust that?

He knows his stuff, he's very level headed, he's very helpful.

If i was to hire someone to represent me and my product i would look in a place where said product is a topic of discussion and the person i would hire is exactly the person Matt is.

AMD have been clever, not just for themselves but also their user base around here.

As i said, it's not a bad thing.

The last person i would hire is someone unknown to the community, a desk-joky who learnt his trade behind that desk in PR school.

I don't, do you?

You should speak to David, he's the head of Forum Warriors. He'll sort you out with a pay per post (PPP) within the week. Tell him i sent you, i get a cheeky bonus then, could do with the extra as my PPP for saying good things about AMD and bad about Nvidia is on the low side tbh.

As for you question, yes...of course. What kind of mug do you take me for.

See, this is why I think you are paid by AMD. They are not doing so well in the financials but you vehemently defend them and claim them as "Clever". Nobody can be that blind to where AMD are surely?

If only you could see yourself looking in from the outside right now, really. This is nuts.

Lol, posts like this make me chuckle.
Do you not even get the tiniest bit of irony from posting this stuff?

Edit: Seriously, speak to David. He'll sort you out with much needed PPP. With posts like yours you'll be rolling in it within a month.
