Asus 1155 P8Z77-V Premium

Anyone got one of these? soon to get one next month, so wanted to know what people think about it?

Will be putting an 1155 I5 2500K at 4.8Ghz 32gb RAM and 2 x R9 290x (water cooled loop)

Any comments would be happy to hear?

I had the Pro version prior to the setup in sig. Cracking board, found it to be excellent for sli due to good spacing. Overclocked both a 3570k and 3770k on it.

Im going for the p8Z77 Premium due to quadfire

in all honesty, 4 x R9 290x sounds like a wet dream

I would guess the infamous bay.

The only Z77 boards you can get new tend to be fairly budget models at stupid inflated prices.

I wouldn't bother with more than 2 gpus on any board that wasn't x79/x99 due to the distinct lack of CPU grunt and PCI-e lanes.

Ah it has a plx chip; didn't realize.

Still though, not really enought cpu grunt for a 4 way config!

bloody sweet board though! I have the little brother of it for my i7 and it's been rock solid.

Only beef I had with it was some latency issues due to running SLI, a dedicated soundcard and the additional storage controllers, but I doubt you'll have that problem
