What you buying your partner for Valentines day ?

Yup, you're defo a woman, a contradiction in your first sentence....

''Im not bothered how much he spends.....but I am..'' is effectively what you just said.

Actually you misunderstand me, I really dont give a flying monkeys. The fact we brew our own beer and enjoy a pint of it whilst watching netflix is the best present in the world.

It does, You guys will be forced into buying cards going out for meals and all that crap.
I love the assumption that everyone is forced to do stuff for Valentine's Day.

But of course, all relationships are one sided and men don't enjoy romantic things (cos that would be gay) and ALL women enjoy romantic things. And because this is DEFINITELY a fact, people who enjoy romantic things also DEFINITELY enjoy Valentine's day.

Jesus Christ!

Also, Mrs Seabiscuit I would probably give up trying to get some empathy for women on this forum...

Hehe Bdog I agree! There is this big assumption of the sexes, when actually I think most people who are in a relationship just cherish the times together having fun, not materialistic things.

Box of chocolates from Hotel Chocolat.

It was her birthday last weekend and I already got her a nice present for that as well :p

Which is completely the point you were trying to make. :) I 100% agree and totally got that from what you were initially saying whilst not trying to pull it apart to try to make a bad joke :)

But I just thought I would read through a Thread called 'What are you buying you're[sic] partner for Valentines day?' .

Because you're not even bothered by it all or remotely interested. Right? ;)

Job done.

I randomly buy my wife flowers/chocolate/stuff throughout the year anyway, I don't need a special day to buy her something and let her know I love her.

She knows I love her, I tell her everyday.

One of my friends can't wait for it, as it's the one time he is guaranteed to get laid lol.

Instructions also unclear, box stuck in girlfriend.

We don't really do big gifts either, will get her a card and go catch a movie or something at the weekend because sod paying the 20%+ mark up a lot of restaurants round here seem to add on for 'valentines day bookings'.

people in decent relationships. how ever there are plenty of people out there who are just keeping score and comparing. And definitely some women who all they care about is receiving expensive gifts and all the rest to show off to their mates because that's obviously a sign of how much their boyfriend loves them. There are also men who will happily do this to prove how long their wang is. so they probably usually end up together in a semi loveless but stable relationship

Lol :p

Whilst your Saturday sounds like a Saturday I would quite enjoy, I also really enjoy going out for a nice meal and drinks with my wife then when we get home, despite how much I love trying to rank up to Eagle in CSGO I prefer to do other stuff ;). Very little if any extra effort has to be made on valentines day if you already have a good relationship. The only difference is a card really.

What your saying may happen. But what's depressing is that this is always the first place people go to when they talk about relationships. Be it from bad personal experience or whatever. And then the same people get annoyed when people try to defend decent relationships. That's the problem.

Don't usually get anything for her but we're getting married in a few months so thought I'd do something!

Bunch of roses a card and making a 3 course meal while plying her with alcohol :D
