Just bought myself a 970 (I am aware of the issues) and wanted to overclock my 2500k too so my PC has a new lease of life, got it to 4.5Ghz at 1.35 (as low as I could go without changing the multiplier).

Figured to benchmark it I would run a few games, so in that picture you will see the following games all running in the background (apart from Bioshock infinite which for some reason when I alt tab out it always pauses).

Guild Wars 2
Fable 3
BioShock Infinite
Hearthstone
Alien Isolation

I have also got intel burn test doing the rounds for good measure lol Temps at the moment are not exceeding 75c

Without Intel Burn Test, running these games at the same time gets my temp up to about 65c

EDIT: And I have just noticed the picture is upside down, sorry about that, not sure what happened !

Not bad temps for Australia summer heat.

They are not the best temps I admit, but as long as I am not going over 80c when gaming I honestly don't mind, the extra oomph in performance is worth it
: )

I wasn't really here to boast about anything anyway, just thought it would be funny to show you guys how I am testing for stability.

How much VRAM used with all that lot running :)

Good question, I have just checked out MSI it says 2.5GB.

I game at 1080p, and willing to turn down settings if need be so I didn't really see the point in picking up a 980, 3.5GB is enough for me : )

I really wanted Shadowplay as well!

Side note: My 50 pass burn test run was a success xD Now for some Prime, the program I dread so much xD

I would do a couple overnight runs of different CPU stress tests. I normally do 100 runs of IBT using 7GB of ram, then overnight OCCT, overnight P95 small FFTs and overnight P95 In place large FFTs.

It's excessive but it's not exactly hard to do.

Your right, it is excessive. I am going to leave P95 overnight and if it hasn't crashed I will just assume its stable and play as normal.

Should it ever crash, i have a 4.2 profile I can default back to, I am not too fussed on keeping this 4.5 : )
