Nvidia rakes in record revenue.

Hmm, it shows that it's up a lot on 2014, but 2014 was like AMD's best year ever due to the mining boom, how does this compare for Nvidia to 2013 and before.

Mystic Meg predicts less profit this year, perhaps also related to 970s, directly and indirectly. ;)

Yes and no.

The whole 970 issue might have cause some small hiccip to Nvidia's reigh, but you have to remember of the unusual the phenomenon of how people are essententially sidegrading from their 290/290x/780/780Ti to 970...and arguably 980 because of the "efficiency hype" as well.

Gross margins of c.55pc! I wonder how much it costs them to make a 980 given those sorts of margins. £100 and then flog it in bulk for £200 notes a unit?

Its ridiculous (and not something I get) know quite a few people who have gone 780/780ti->290->290X->970->290(X)->980 or 780/290->970->290(X)->980 or some variant of that progression (partly due to the 970 thing).

Just gonna stick with my 780 til something actually significantly better comes along.

I notice there is no mention of the GTX 970 fiasco, if I was an investor I would want to hear what went wrong and how it will effect the bottom line.

Nvidia announced record profits

Are they willing to help dissatisfied GTX 970 buyers who felt mislead by the false marketing?

No.

Great way to support those that help your profit margins. Great stuff Nvidia.

At least OCUK etc showed them how customer support is done :D

Seriously, I thought it was LambChop posting what I saw this...sounded far too similar to his trend :D

I would rather they make big profits and spend on R&D, so even at my ripe old age, I can look forward to some decent gear.

Stagnation is not something I enjoy and nVidia have done a ton for us gamers. Bring on more I say :D
