The interesting bit being that even if you remove the intel licence deal, they still make a big profit, contrary to Charlie who keeps saying nvidia will move to a loss when that deal ends.

The whole 970 issue might have cause some small hiccip to Nvidia's reigh, but you have to remember of the unusual the phenomenon of how people are essententially sidegrading from their 290/290x/780/780Ti to 970...and arguably 980 because of the "efficiency hype" as well.

Its ridiculous (and not something I get) know quite a few people who have gone 780/780ti->290->290X->970->290(X)->980 or 780/290->970->290(X)->980 or some variant of that progression (partly due to the 970 thing).

Just gonna stick with my 780 til something actually significantly better comes along.

I notice there is no mention of the GTX 970 fiasco, if I was an investor I would want to hear what went wrong and how it will effect the bottom line.

I would rather they make big profits and spend on R&D, so even at my ripe old age, I can look forward to some decent gear.

Stagnation is not something I enjoy and nVidia have done a ton for us gamers. Bring on more I say
