A 290 should be able to run bf4 on full ultra at x4 msaa at 1080p under mantle or DX. Minimum fps using mantle may be higher, but from my own experience of using a single 780, (comparable to a 290). You should be averaging 80 fps give or take. BF4 is supposed to run a bit smoother under mantle, it used to be a bit iffy on dx for me but lately it has improved an awful lot due to some nvidia driver optimisations.

Battlefield is cheap as **** these days.

Still can't believe I did the ultimate rookie error of jumping out of m142 to shoot someone nearby and ended up nading myself then they ran off with the m142 :(.

Got some horrific multi kills with it the second time though lol. The kill feed was all mine for a second :D.

No, the ultimate noob thing to do is pilot your attack boat, fully loaded with squad players into enemy spawn and exceed the 10 second time resulting in everyone's death. Would you know anything about that mate? ;)

Yeah it ran fine on my 970 and also runs fine on my 290X perhaps slightly higher fps with the 970 but I am only at 1080p with looking to upgrade to 1440p in the future.

I was just curious really as for the flick of a switch I could make it easier for my PC but I'll test it out properly when I have time.
 
It's certainly less intensive using mantle but it seems to bork any ingame recording software and it's also not as sharp as DX some parts of the game aren't as crisp and look a bit washed out.
 
I enjoyed last night more than I have enjoyed BF4 for a long time!

The resurgance of TonyTurbo must have have an effect.

Got the cider in the fridge getting cold, game on tonight!

Engi , pdw only accuracy down around the 14% mark with no unlocks pffffffttt. Feels proper great using the mbtlaw on infy, being bashed in chat for it, giving me the opportunity to reply with I'm an old noob, rank 5 what you expect....lmao
