empty flat upstairs leaking water to my flat....advise?

Does anyone else find the term landlord slightly offensive? I don't know why but it has always bugged me that the name implies more importance than the tenant.

I am the lord of the land! Thou shalt not pass for less than a grand every twenty eight days!

//op: wear a wife beater, grab a can of Stella and a shotgun. Have a lit rollie hanging out yor mouth for dramatic effect. Knock on their door and ask politely if they can get it resolved, make sure the shotgun is over your shoulder.

Have you pooped through the letter box yet? Because i'm surprised this hasn't been suggested, might end up in your flat if they get the water back on though.

Yes, I also find it offensive to call my parents parents and my boss at work my boss. I call them all "equally important co-existing individuals" so as to avoid offense. Unfortunately the deceased have taken issue so I may have to change again.
