Yay better calendar, with proper colour coding finally.
Yay better office as the current one doesn't work very well.

New email looks good with rich editing, pretty much word built in.

I don't get the use a full screen photo for the back ground, we can already do that.

My 830 is, but no update yet, and many on twitter are saying the same, a few peeved 930 owners also.

I'm running Win10 TP on my main PC at the mo with few 'hic-ups' but I'm not sure about putting it on my phone just yet!!

Does it show for you ? no one i know has it yet in the UK, seem's like mostly US only so far.

You can roll back, so that's something.

I like the nipple on the keyboard. Will be a nice feature once it's working properly.

Good that they are changing settings to the same as control panel on the pc. Even if most haven't been transferred over yet.

It does look smart but can't be dealing with the hassle if it develops issues as I only have one phone at the minute.

I used the tech preview for w8.1 and it was awesome - om my primary device.

As soon as this is available for my phone I will be going to it.

So far they have only released wp10 tech preview for these phones:

I was looking to jump on this with my 930, guess I'll have to be patient until they complete the partition stitching feature.

I'm shure that Win10 for phone will be nice. But it still remains that Win8 for phone is a long way from being fully rolled out yet. I think that the vast majority of us are still waiting for Cortana.......................certainly anyone with an o2 phone anyway.

I had an o2 625 and I got windows 8.1 plus cortana in the Cyan update.

What phone do you have?

How do updates work on WP? Do the carriers have to approve them or does Microsoft take care of that.

Cortana and folders come with 8.1 Update 1, which on our mobiles, I have a 925 also, is joined at the hip with the Lumia Denim update. I don't know what variant you have but I got Update 1 with Denim for my 925 2 nights ago, mine is a GBIE Country Variant so not locked to any carrier.

Even if you have Update 1 and Denim though I think Cortana depends on what country you are in/using, I think it is Beta in US, UK and China and Alpha in a few others...

My understanding is that if it is carrier locked the carrier performs additional testing and approves release of new versions, mine is a Country Variant so I think there is no carrier involvement for mine. EliotG would be a good person to answer this. The Denim update page for Europe is at the link below;

New alarm and actionable notification.

I was like new alarm, who cares, but actually I do. Nicely built in features. Always prefer built in stuff, than finding several different apps.
