I am all for steelcase leap now. Will be getting a leap 2 with headrest when i get some extra money.
Just purchased the Herman Miller Mirra 2 after reading this thread. How are you getting on with yours housey?
Also what your unbiased view on the chair after a bit of use ?
Any here sit in one for long periods ? Is the chair has good as everyone says.
Above all is it worth the £800-£1000 price tag?

I've had my Embody a while now. It's wonderful.

Aberdeen huh? Can I come try it out then?![]()
How is the 'creaking' issue I've been hearing about? It appears to be quite noisy from what I've been hearing about, but I really want to like it. What's your build?
Sure.
I've not noticed the creaking. I have the chair set up for me: if you don't have it set up correctly, it will be uncomfortable after a while. As for build, I have it in blue with carpet runners.

I've a Mira 1 and Aeron at home and a mix of all the range in my office in London. I have had zero issue with my coccyx on any of them and I have been a regular daily user for decades. My advice is if you have such a pain you need to go and see a back specialist as in my experience coccyx paid was due to bad pelvis alignment which in turn exposes the coccyx. Deal with that first then deal with the chair. I am a similar size to you, a bit lighter but sadly not much at present. When you are not on the Mira where do you sit? No matter how good the chair if your alignment keeps going out of kilter (such as from a sofa, car seat etc) then no matter how good your office chair is you will suffer pain. A bad office chair of course could cause back pain but the HM seats are pretty much renown for their excellent posture alignment.Hi, I posted this as an individual thread but thought I would add it here too...
I bought a Herman Miller Mirra 2 for long periods of home working and gaming but found it gave me coccyx pain (I don't think it is wide enough for my big 110kg rugby player's unit). I've had to resort to using a £20 coccyx cushion after only one day!
The online shop I bought the Mirra 2 from has suggested I return and replace with a Herman Miller Embody. Having never sat in one I keen to hear from anyone who has a Herman Miller Embody to ask how they find the seat pad:
Is it well cushioned compared to the Mirra 2?
Did it solve your coccyx pain?
Is it wider than the Mirra 2?
Should I look at something else?
