Damn I really fancy a sigelei mini 50w. It looks great, Though I do love my mech mod because its small, but Id like to have the regulated power that I have of my 100w sigelei on a small device.

Meh!! :p too much devices on the market and not enough money.

I've been quietly impressed with the DNA 40 and vaping on temperature, It was quite different at first and it takes time for the coil to break in (two/three tanks) and for me to appreciate it, but it never gives a dry hit.

Vapor production is not as good as sub ohming on kanthal, but using the factory temperature kanger coils in an aero mega at 11w, it controls now the temperature (410f) really well, and stopped that temperature protection lark. It's a lot cooler vape that I'm used to; but neither the less it vapes well.

I should have two more RDAs tomorrow or the next day, so I can build a nickel coil once I wash them out as I'm off work at the moment. :D But I be getting some temperature control coils for the subtank very soon.

I have tried Ni200 temp coils in several RDA's and in my Taifun GT v2, ive done dual and single, spaced and contact, from as low as .06 to .23ohm and so far the best vap has been on the Zentith v2 or better yet, the Hobo with a single .18ohm spaced coil at 20-25w... in the Taifun it is just too cool a vap to get the full flavour from the juice, originally built a single .2ohm contact coil and ran at 20w, but it was too cool and flavour not even half as good as it is on my Lemo using a 1ohm kanthal contact coil.. but last night I tore it down and built a new .15ohm contact coil and have tried it at 20-25w and it is a bit better, but still not anywhere near as good as the hobo build or a good kanthal build, im not sure temp coils are really suitable in tanks.

There's a VERY long video on youtube by someone who had the DNA40 chip in a test unit, so he's had an age to play with it. I see if I can dig it out that explains which tanks/RDAs its suitable for and it makes sense.

Basically, the more simple the connection of the positive pin is to the battery the better it is. Tanks like the lemo, where the 510 connector is actually on another piece of metal, then connected to the positive pin tends to preform very badly, as the heat conductivity of the two different metals and in some cases different types of metal (when they are coated in another metal) messes up the temperature control.

Ah handy to know Slinxy... think once I vaped out the current tank ill be putting a kanthal build in to compare..
I feel as though im following/being followed by you lol

lol.. sorry, I'm just lurking on several vape sites at the moment.

Here's the video..

He goes as far as sanding down 510 pins and getting parts machine'd so that tanks preform better, so that heat conductivity doesn't affect the temperature monitor of the coils. Also tempered wire works much better than the other stuff as its been heat treated so it's less flexible and prone to ohms creep when hot.

lol

Cheers for the link, Ill watch it when I get home as im about to leave work shortly. Got my USB charge board for the cloupor mini DNA40 mk2, so will be fitting that tonight, fingers crossed I don't fudge it...

I got vapemail!

Five Pawns, Perpetual Check
Alloy Blends, Etched
3 Oso 2 Puffs Drip Tips.. The bore on them looks massive
The Helix, RDA
Derringer, RDA

Is this a good look?

So guess what I be doing when I get home tonight... yub cleaning RDAs. lol

I have revisited the Cloupor Mini Mk2 mod and added in a Genuine Evolv USB charge board, its a very odd angle due to the magnet bar stopping the board sitting flush, a tiny bit of superglue holding it in place for testing...
After I took the picture and tested the USB plugged in and lit up, I added in hot glue to double secured it.
Here is a picture of the fitting:

Nice work ukdtweak, you love modifying mods don't you :p

I fancy having a go at it my self, but meh I don't know where to start, never was good at electrics, but iv learnt more about it in past few month than I have all my life lol.

Well in an attempt to finally get off the dreaded smokes I gave in and got myself a cheap ego-u to give it a try, I must say im kind of enjoying it and as a result have went from about 30 smokes a day to around 6 but am finding im not getting the same satisfaction of dragging on the vaper as I am the smokes so as result was looking to spend a little and upgrade.
The market for these is as confusing as hell and reading what you guys are saying you may as well all be typing in calculus :), after looking around for a little bit I was thinking of upgrading to VAPOURIZ V-Pro 1300 mAh Variable Voltage Battery Dual Coil E-Cig Kit MOD (from a certain rain forrest place since they seem to offer the best price for it around 33 quid right now, was 29 yesterday), the problem is the reviews on there dont look favorable but the reviews elsewhere have been pretty decent.
What do you guys think of this and/or is there a better alternative for the same budget (not a lot I know but budget is really an issue for me right now), I may be able to stretch to £40 but that would be it and I would need to be able to be up and vaping for that with the exception of oil.

Any advice and help is massively appreciated for a complete noob with this.

My suggest Toadem is above your budget and I don't know the market lower than that any more. I just want to say every cig not smoked is a victory, cutting down is an achievement for your health but of course totally switching would be better still. Also people don't like liquids (juice is the normal name used) being called 'oil' as oil being vaporized is really bad for you and will cause lipo pneumonia. It is important as idoits will claim the liquid is oil based (there have even been oil based ones but haven't heard of it in years now)

Btw my starter kit would be something like an iStick and a nautilus mini, but I think it is closer to £50-60.

I feel your pain. First thing, the two good manufacturers you wan't to look at are Kanger and Aspire.

If you have a real shop nearby i'd recommend them.

As a starter i'd say an Aerotank Mini + Battery + Juice you like is a good start. Juice you like is subjective, a lot of people like starting with tobacco flavor. I cant stand it personally.

For batteries look for those manufacturers I mentioned - you want a twist type battery - sometimes called VV (Variable Voltage) or VW (Variable Wattage).

Look for the word EGO. That's a certain kind of connector and certain size of device.

Above all Kanger or Aspire.

Okay, just google either of those manufacturers and starter - you should find a good kit. Still need juice.

Like suggested if you have a local vape shop they will most like let you taste juice until you find one you like. If you want any suggestions, give us an idea what kind of flavours you like. I can't help much if you want tobacco, I only like one any more and it is pretty expensive so I don't buy it. That is torque 56 / tobacco americano (totally wicked sell it under this name). RY4s are sweet / carmel type tobacco but I out grew them 3 or more years ago.

Really mate, you want something with adjustable voltage (the bigger the range the better) and a tank with adjustable airflow. anything else is a waste of money IMHO, as it's just not adjustable to you needs and as you develop as a vaper, that extra bit of cash get's you a lot more. Stay away from the main online markets and stick to the specialist, as your less likely to get fakes.

Sorry mate, but my suggestion will have to be an istick and nautilus too.. @ 49.97 https://www.vapeboy.com/kits/starter/istick-nautilus-mini/

Yep, if you're thinking you're about ready to take the plunge, I'd also say to go for the iStick/Nautilus mini combo.

I like the Cloupor Mini more than the iStick solely for the removable battery, but you'd be pushing your budget even more going in that direction. For the price mentioned above, that iStick combo is a great "time to get serious" buy.

The Cloupor Mini has some major H&S issues, it's been reported that it melts.

just found this: http://www.theelectroniccigarette.c...rve-e-cigarette-kit-and-e-liquid-product.html

for £30 quid you get a 20w curve (istick re-banded but official), some sort a tank and juice.. shame that there's only pink left, but you can get an skin on the same tank for 50p; I'm liking the paul smith time one.
