Likewise. Don't think I'd own one, but I love the fact that it exists.
Gotta say I am not a fan of the new 1 series front end, not that I was a fan of the old one either but the new revision just seems even worse with the way the bumper to bonnet and headlight area is all "one". On the old one there was a body coloured trim strip at least adding some separation.

I had a 116i as a courtesy car and my heart sank when I saw what they were giving me.
Let's just say I was very pleasantly surprised when I actually drove it. The car had more than enough power (and I owned a 335i at the time), and massively different to the old 116i which was breathless. It was excellent in the corners and felt stable at speed.
It also made an awesome wastegate noise when you lifted off the throttle.
