Some times coils do pop, its normal/just that coil head.
As for the sub tank needing at least 20w... I run mine at 15w - 18w, and the tank performs just fine, I prefer the lower power as the juice I have in it is a vanilla/red Astaire mix that is much creamier at lower wattages. naturally you need a mod with Buck to get as low as 15w with a .5ohm coil, but my DNA40 and SX350 and Sigelei 100w and IStick30, all do, and is why I avoid mods that don't buck... DNA30, istick20, sigelei mini etc...

If you look at the spec of a regulated mod, it will give you a voltage output range, typically from 3.6v-8.4v, some are 4v-11v etc... Buck is when the mod will actually allow you to go Below 3.6v, which is lower than the batteries nominal output, for example, the DNA40 can go down to 1v and the Istick 30/50 can go as low as 2v.
If you run a .5ohm coil at 15w, you will only need about 3v, most regulated mods wont go below 3.3v-3.6v and so instead will just dump the battery voltage.. like a mech... but the displays will typically tell you otherwise.

That's really interesting. Thanks for taking the time to explain it, much appreciated.

I think I maybe need to try another Mod.

To be honest the MVP20 wasn't really my first choice when I bought it 3 weeks ago. We were going on holiday to Singapore and vaping is punishable by death there - haha just kidding (but they will take your gear off you if they see it)

The MVP 20 was taped up in disguise as a spare battery charger for my ipad and phone in case anyone asked.

I think I'll go and order a 50watt istick right now.

Not a problem, you may also hear the term Boost, but that hopefully is obvious, its simply the chip in the mod pulling more then the batteries nominal power, hence how these modz can put out up to 11volts.
The Itsick 50w would be my choice of lip regulated mods at the moment, biggest battery of them all and it has buck, a friend at my local B&M bought the MVP30w last week and dropped it last night, only from about three feet, it was destroyed, so although it looks robust, I can say for sure that it most definitely is not!

£80 for the clone vs £150 for the authentic.

No offensive, I would fork out the extra £10 and get an authentic dna30..
I know vw clones fail rate aren't as high as people makes them out to be but better safe than sorry :)

The clones comes with a warranty so no problem.

Also it was £75.

Same thing for half the price!

;)

Not sure why anyone thinks the Sigelei 100w is at some special price @£59.99. It's always been at that price afaik.
I'd recommend paying an extra tenner for the Plus version tbh though. Free sleeve and especially a sprung pin are worth the extra :)

Think you are right Petey, my first sig (mk2) was £59.99 back when they first came out, then I sold it and bought the 100w Plus which cost me £69.99 and its worth it just for the floating 510, I hate self adjusters..

Does it do Temp Control, as all the links on that Essex site say 1:1 clone, but no mention of temp sensing?
Though it looks like no stock left anyway.. im sure FT will soon have them, already have the RDNA30 and much cheaper :P

everything should have a floating pin, man it makes life so much easier!

Indeed, that's why I added a veritube to my DNA mods.... floating is the way forward, no excuse for fixed or self adjusting these days, bar cheap manufacturing costs.

The istick mini should be more than fine as its manual fire and adjustable power to suit your needs.

The draw itself comes from a mix of the battery, tank and drip tip being used.
I've not come across the GD16S, but I've just had a quick look at it.

It's be miles better than cig a likes, thous cig a likes are really poor, two/three drags from a freshly charge battery then the draw is weak, the istick should give you the same power till the battery is flat.

I'm half tempted to get it myself as its small and maybe what I need for this micro setup. but the coils are for this device and this device/brand only; not an issue if it's your only tank. :)

It's not something I've really looked into, kit to help stop smoking rather than good kit for the long haul for the best vape. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice. I think rather than go with the relatively unknown GS16 I'll grab the Nautilus mini, haven't read a bad word about it really. Is there any recommended places to buy this kit in the UK?

Yes it does temp control, hence being a rDNA device.

There is some left still.

;)

the 'r' means removable battery. Not temp sensing. ;)

Also, no offence but why would you buy a cheap knock off of a regulated device for 75 quid when you can buy, for example a legit Sigelei 50w for 50 quid.

Last year when China were only putting out clones then I understand it, But now with all the decent authentics out there cloned regulated devices are pointless imo.

Well for one, its not cheap!

It's made that well you could not tell the difference between the two.
I've already compared it between the clone and authentic. No difference, that's how good it is.

And for half the price of the original.

Well that's a bargain that will blow your Sigelei away.

How's about you send me one? I'll test it against the authentic.. If it's any good I'll send you the cash, if not you can have the mod back. ;)

Joking aside.. The Smok M80 is available in the UK now and I'm half tempted to get that.. Or should I just getting the sx350 mini.. What to do.. What to do..

http://www.theelectroniccigarette.co.uk

They are official resellers, thou the name it the curve, it's legit.

How about tell us where you got it? :)
Not really looking to buy one, but I'm curious anyway.

Am I the only one that can see his sig at the bottom of his posts?
