I'd go for the R7 260X. I have one and it runs cool, quiet and overclocks extremely well. The 6950 will be slightly faster but once the 260X is overclocked there won't be much in it.

I'd go for the 260X for the newer features.
mantle will help with the 260X and it should support DX 12 when that's out.
That'll definitely help alleviate the cpu bottleneck if you're still using the C2D in your sig.
Freesync, DSR and XDMA crosfire are also good reasons.

Agree, go with the 260X.
Wanted to to make sure I bought the right card and not feel short-changed.
