I have a 3yr old 200 Cup and i'm tempted by the cheap Corsa VXR Clubsport lease deal at the moment (6+23, 160 a month).... anyone gone from a Clio to the Corsa either Clubsport or Nurburgring?
If so any feedback on that change?

Guy on Cliosport has test driven the Corsa and liked it.

I'd go get a test drive on one and if you like it go for the lease. I'm tempted, £155 a month for the special edition with bigger brakes, LSD etc is a bargain.

There is nothing wrong with the Clio at all, i just fancy a change having owned it nearly 3 years (the longest i've owned a car since i started driving in 1993!).

My wife is getting a Fiesta ST-2 on a lease (delivered on 3rd March), so no need to look at one of them! :)

Now i've started looking at Golf R's on lease, more expensive of course and a 30 week lead time.

The Megane is an option and i quite like the Astra VXR, Focus ST for me just seems to be missing something and its a bit common though supposed to be a very decent drive.

What's the obsession with little hatchbacks? How old are you?

No obsession, the Clio is the first small hatchback since i had a 106GTi back in the late 90's (tell a lie i had a Cooper S for 6 months back in 09).
Had a Z4M, VXR8, Subaru's and various hot hatches.

I'm 39.

To be fair, looks better than the new one. And isn't it essentially the same engine any way...

Don't know what Vauxhall are thinking with the new corsa VXR. Pretty much the same power as it's rivals (that have been out two years) but the economy and emissions still suck.

"Efficiency takes a slight hit as a result, though, with 37.7mpg and 174g/km of CO2 claimed – considerably worse than its greener rivals’ figures."

Who is going to buy this?

It looks bobbins as well.

Wouldn't you a die a little getting into that nasty interior?

Not a go at you, but really, who honestly gives a **** about these things when buying a Corsa VXR?

I mean there's the hateful little Econetic crapbox if you do.

Surely if you're of the moronic kind that does, you're not going to be looking at the top end Corsa model?

I don't even know where to start.

I do think they've made a bit of a balls up of it. Also, 6.8 to sixty, doesn't feel like we've moved on much, my 172 cup was doing that years ago, and this now has 202 bhp.

I went from a clio 182cup to a corse VXR
I have loved it so far and find it is a solid car. You can nit pic over almost any car
And there is lots of justified bad reviews. Mine has been good so far.
Efficiency I get better than my old clio though it's not as fun in the corners.
Overall op it's down to you I found it a fun change it will be different
The interior I don't mind at all it has been solid in mine so far and it's better than many of the plastics I have seen used in the automotive industry.
