How about from external though? I only got the basic because dont want all the accessories etc that comes with the premium..
Well im going to buy another one so suppose will find out soon enough
If it is any slower than the disc you'd be hard pushed to even notice. Likely load speeds are all within 10% of one another - internal HDD, external drive, disc - there's bugger all between them.

There is a video showing external ssd as the fastest for loading games.. very smalldifference between all options though. Run a 128gb ssd on USB power and seems fine

A little? You must have high tolerance to noise, the Wii U is anything but a little noisy when a disc is in the drive, this is comparing 3 different Wii U's so it's not me having a faulty one.

Interesting, i have a 64gb usb 3.0 drive (i know wiiu doesnt have usb3.0) and a 64gb ssd doing nowt, im sure i have a sata/usb adapter knocking about somewhere
Finally got my Wii U after failed attempts from Shopto and Tesco really pleased with it got a few games already MarioU/Kart.
Picked up a few cheap games from Game Collection is there anywhere else online people shop as I would like to get some older games but no where i've seen seems to stock them.

Found a few on the bay at a good price new sealed was after Need For Speed Deus Ex, Super Luigi U and any bargains really.

Might be a silly question, but can you buy wiiu games from the nintendo store (download games) from other regions and play them on a uk console
Bit like you can with xbox one etc?
Its because as per usual games on the us store seem a lot cheaper than the uk store

Well got me another Wii U yesterday, still a bit too noisy for my liking (ears) but plonked it under my stairs and connected it to my monitor and now its silent
