Matt THANK YOU so much for your recommendation. How the hell can I play crisis 3 maxed out 1440p for £500 haha!!!!!!

One slight thing I have noticed in games it growls abit, doesn't sound like coil whine more the fan on the radiator, did you find yours was loud in games and whined?

Not really, but that could be the pump.

Try undervolting the card -0.050v and see if it's stable, will keep temps and noise even lower then.

What a shame, was going so well :( tried under volting it and reducing but still really really loud.

I will try to make a video later and upload it to youtube see what you think

I wish my graphics cards growled.

Hey guys just a little update.

I removed the radiator/Fan from the case to eliminate that first, this is all silent running fine and dandy. The sound seems to be coming from the centre fan which im guessing cools the vram?

I've uploaded a video for you to listen. Not sure if it does it justice but the sound increases in higher demanding games/levels. Let me know your thoughts :)

I took both my 295's apart as i wanted to look under the hood and see what's what. When i put one of them back together it was making a similar noise, it turns out the fan cable for the centre vrm fan was sticking out a bit and it was catching on the fan. See if yours is doing the same, you'll have to remove it from the pc to inspect. If you can see that cable, push it in and see if that fixes it. If the cable is already hidden then perhaps the fan is dodgy.

Just had a quick look, all seems to be fine nothing a miss.

Genuinely gutted. this is by far one of the best PC purchases I have made, games run flawlessly. Is this good cause to return for a swap or at least a fix in your personal opinion?

dont sound right to me which means id send it back

Got the replacement back today and this sounds just as bad, argh :/ this can't be two cards with identical problems surely? :S

Something must be amiss here. Can you record the noise again?

EDIT

Did OcuK say they replaced it for a different card?

They said it has been replaced under warranty but this sounds identical to the previous one. I've tried dealing with it since ive installed it but when you can here is screaming with all sides case on it is unbearable.

I will do another recording now

Did you confirm they had and tested the problem on the card you sent back?

Honestly once he said he was replacing it I didn't push for the other card to be fixed or tested. Will upload the noise tests within the next 30 mins. One will be UNIGINE and one will be BF4

Just record the noise right next to the gpu, then the radiator.

I wonder if you've been sent the same gpu, otherwise there must be something else at play here.
