Accessing US Netflix from UK on PS3

Afternoon all, typical hungover Sunday session in front of the tv and I can't get onto US Netflix.
I use to use unblock-us but now the new security on the website makes it inaccessible on ps3. Using another device on same router doesn't seem to change it either.
Tried various DNS addresses but all present me with whoops.tv icons.
Need to watch Sherlock season 3! Any way round this? I know netflix said they were clamping down...
Cheers in advance!

Why do you need to get to the website on the PS3? Just change your dns settings on your PS3 to unblock's and restart, or change them on your router.

A quick google shows you're not alone with this problem but unblock still works with the PS3 as I've just checked. Might be worth deleting your internet setting and setting them up again manually with unblocks DNS, then fully turn it off and back on again. Failing that delete the nexflix app and only install it again once the setting have been applied. Once it's up and running you can use unblocks app to switch regions.

How do you do it? Accessing the unblock us site on ps3 browser despot work. I have the unblock dns address entered; changing regions on the ps3 from another device is what trumps me.

Primary: 208.122.23.23
Secondary: 208.122.23.22

They are what I'm using

I use their DNS setting on my router and use the app to change the region. Some devices need the app to be closed and restarted ie Xbox One. The PS3 usually needs to be turned off to get it working. I have the super slim so I have to pull the cable out the back. It usually takes a couple of minutes to take affect.

If you can't access the site via the PS3, then you may need to login to their website via a computer web browser and change the region there. Give it a minute then start up the PS3.

I think this is where I get stuck. I use BT home hub so can't change the DNS settings on my router. Regarding changing the region on my ps3 I just can't figure it out.

Whatever device I access unblock-us.com on it changes the region of that device. Not the ps3.

Think I may have found a fix that should work for you. From the PS3 web browser google unblock-us. Choose the link UnblockUs Inc that will take you to the log in page. Log in then click the link at the top that says US portal and that takes you to the page to change regions.

This is from the PS3. You can get to the page, just not directly it seems.

Not had any problems with mine, couldn't change settings I the router so regularly have to use the iPad/phone to reset IP address and choose region via unblockus website. That instantly updates on my ps3.

Ah OK, I spent ages trying to get it to work and I found out that Sony had updated the app to ignore the DNS settings and it kept trying to connect to the UK servers even if you changed your settings to US. Will have to try it again.

I'd been using the PS3 Netflix app whilst changing the DNS settings. Yesterday a message popped up asking me to agree to Ts&Cs and confirm I was in the US. I chickened out and put my DNS back to normal.

I don't 'think' it's breaking any laws but it is breaking the terms of service with Netflix.

Shame that the UK version is pants in comparison.

Tis a bit of a grey area, I don't see it as much different to the cracks you used to get back in the day for DVD software so you could watch multiple regions.

I wonder what the downloading is theft brigade think of watching US Netflix

I'd happily pay more for access to a region free version. I think Netflix is great in general, the UK content is just a little stale in comparison:)
