I noticed on ebay a seller listed an iPhone 6 Plus 128GB for £400.

This had me curious of course so I dutifully emailed the seller directly.

I now noticed the listing has been removed but the seller emailed back.

Hi

The buy it now price is £400.00
I have a full Stock of phones 6 whici are 100% original from Apple ,Brand New , factory unlocked , in sealed boxes , with all standard accessories included . Each phone have 2 years international warranty . The warranty is valid once you activate the phone.
We can provide you free shipping
In order to buy it you will need to provide us :

***eBay User Id (username)#: (for ebay invoice)
***Full name :
***Full Shipping address: (Where to send the item)
***Quantity
*** phone number

After that we can send you the invoice (instructions how to pay )

Your thoughts? If I could get the seller to relist on eBay and then I'll pay then it could be worth a try? If he wants me to pay him directly then that is a big no.

Avoid like the plague just the way he is going about it screams scam.

Edit: I also wouldn't even bother paying over PayPal even if he re lists as you may just be giving him a temporary loan.

He'll tell you he wants to avoid PP fees, but in essence he just wants to avoid PP because it offers protection for buyers meaning he'll lose the money in the event of a scam.

Walk away, if it sounds too good to be true on a buy it now auction it most probably is.

In his email he mentioned about phone 6 not iPhone 6 :)

Maybe the seller also sells iPhone 6's and they meant they have a stock of both phones?

He's basically offering the phone for half price, since they cost £789 new. He would have had to purchase them for at minimum the low £300s just to make a decent profit which doesn't seem plausible. Or he robbed them.

I would personally avoid.

Still no reply from the seller
