I went to Bruges in November last year and sampled a fair few beers, i think it's fair to say i've got a taste for them now. Since i've been back, i've been wanting some more since i ran out of the supply i brought back with me. I've seen the Beligan beer factory website, which seems very well priced to be fair, but it's be nice to have some kind of national guide so that we have an idea of where sells a Belgian beer or two throughout the UK. Surely i can't be the only one to come home from Bruges thinking why their beers aren't that readily available in the UK!

I found one bar in Keswick that has a pretty good range of Belgian beers in bottles and on tap, That's Magnolia, i had a bottle of Cuvee des Trolls from there which i thought was quite expensive at £4.40 for a 250ml bottle (It's available for €1.80 from BBF).

If there is enough interest, i'd be happy to update this post and hopefully have a good guide to where we can get a nice Belgian beer wherever we may be in the UK.

Booths supermarket normally have an OK range. In my limited experience of trying Belgian beers in bruges and ghent, I found Orval to stand out. Good thing is it's actually quite easy to find in the UK.

I liked Cuvee des trolls, kwak, tripel Karmeliet, bush blonde, maredsous, kasteel, grimbergen, la chouffe, i could go on!

Online store called Beer Merchants had a wide range and is always getting new stuff in. It also gets a lot of the hard to get releases from brewers like Cantillon.

I love Hoegaarden, though I'm sure the aficionados will say that there are better tasting wheat beers. If so I'd like to hear. Does anywhere do a good size wheat beer selection box?

Belgian Beer Factory website is the best place to order by a mile.

Massive selection and the prices are great.

Just don't expect next day delivery.

Yea I've Been browsing that site and I'm placing an order soon. I'm just surprised at the lack of belgian bars in the UK considering the amount of bits that go over for the beers.

As said, belgian beer factory have a good range and you can filter different types so can filter what's etc.

You need to get yourself over to the beer festival they do, at the Grand Place in Brussels. It's amazing! :)

We went in September last year and got the missus into ales for the first time. Previously she refused to taste the majority and when she did, she didn't like them. On Monday we shared a bottle of Kwak and a bottle of Delerium, she's changed! :)

Hmmm, i really need to get over to Oktoberfest too, my missus went in 2013 and she loved it. I can't afford it this year though, got a wedding in New Zealand to save for this December.

Lucky. I'm going to try and get to Bruges again at least, need a good excuse though, missus is tightening my purse strings for the wedding :(
