The HTC One Hima (M9) Thread

I'm not usually an early adopter with phones...

I know it varies by provider and plan but, generally speaking, for a 24 month contract what sort of monthly fee would you expect for one of these?

About £40?

You could get a lot better than £40 per month. I pay £27 per month for my HTC One M7. I'm expecting a similar deal on the M9 should I decide to get it. Obviously price per month is dependant on the type of contract you want. I'm a light user, I don't need billions of free minutes etc. Heavy users will probably need more expensive contracts.

It really depends what sort of contract you want, data etc. I would imagine it would start for less than that. Maybe look at what sort of contracts you can get for other premium phones at the moment to get an idea. I would have thought if you looked at iPhone 6 deals for example then its going to be around that or less.

Very interested in this. Last year I ended up going with the xperia z2, although it was a tough choice. A large part of me wanted the m8. I think this year it could be this phone.

Yeah, I feared it was a "piece of string" question :D

I'm due an upgrade through Vodafone soon. As suggested I'll take a look at what they quote on the current top end. Just didn't want to get all excited then find out it's beyond what I'm willing to pay.

Cheers.

Just buy it outright and pick a competitive SIM only deal. It always works out cheaper and gives you ultimate flexibility.

If those videos are real, it's not advertising any sort of optical stabilisation, so I imagine the camera quality will be what we've seen already for the past year or two in smartphone cameras. And also virtually the same design as the M8.

And with that, my hype for this has evaporated completely.

I generally agree, but not everyone can afford around £500 up front. I'm half tempted to go back to a contract as I don't think it will cost me a great deal more, but probably won't, like the freedom of buying up front.
