Hi there at the min I have 2 msi ati Radeon hd 4890 cards running in cross fire, I'm slowly in the process of upgrading my pc what would be a good card to go for to replace the two cards with one card (not looking to spend a fortune) at the mine my mother board is an Asus m4a78e with an amd phenom cpu and 8 Gb of ram
Thanks in advance

A AMD R9 280 which is the same as a 7950 would be an option that has very good performance and as you upgrade your system slowly it will hold its own. Should be able to be had for much less than a fortune, especially if you're prepared to go used or b grade it can be about £100 less.

I'm having a lot of trouble with my ati cards and win 7 64 bit I
keep getting a blue screen because of them (I reinstall the drivers and they seem to be ok for a while) Will a newer amd card still give me troubles

What nvidia cards would be comparable?
Thanks again

NVIDIA GTX 680 or 770 which are the same card but the 770 is just more recent, a 4GB would be preferable if the price difference is not too much. Only likely to find them used though and should be under £150.
