Does owning a top end pc change you as a person?

When I go out I tell chicks I've got a 980 HOF edition and a Oculus, they loves it. Seriously though I've spent near on £6k since I've had this PC on monitors, upgrades, replacing parts I broke in rage and spilling drinks on them and I hardly ever use it :)

Nice ninja edit... I was gonna say I just spent £6 on lunch!

Head over to the GPU section, there you will find complete nerds like yourself who only care about one thing, up their own bottom:D

They get on it don't they. :D

I'll be honest, I was hammered one night on the way home, I saw a girl who was wearing a Mario shirt, one thing lead to another, I told her about my RIFT and 980 HOF and she was all over me. Never thought a graphics card and a headset would make me pull.

This thread....just.....what?!

I love getting new, decent stuff - it doesn't turn me into an egocentric recluse however.

Yes it does, I used to be 6ft4 13 stone of pure hard muscle, had a top job working at a lawfirm and was about to me made a named partner. My steady GF was a lingerie model and a trained pole dancer. I drove a 911 most days when my limo driver was off cleaning my yacht.

Then I bought a Dell PC from PC World and now I just sit around in my size 40" waist boxers, eating KFC and playing WoW. I don't work, have a drug/alcohol and food addiction.

My daily vocabulary ranges from "GG" to "get rekt scrub" - My GF I believe is a 38 year old fat american called Dustin but his character is a very numbile female called Shaniqua in LoL. We talk most days although I believe she is cheating on me with a warlock call Raz.

My car is still good and with my G27 equipped I can change it out daily. My yacht was sold to pay for another 2GB of DDR2 800hmz.

All in all, I am a better person, I can hit W,D,A,S without looking have a 1.21 KDR in MW2 and heat my room with my 3.5GB 970's.

Not srs o.O

It's a toy, you will get over it.

I suppose when your still living at home and your mum still does everything, you do have much more time to game.

Whilst that does hold some truth at least they aren't really harming anyone but themselves, there's plenty of people on this very forum who have children who seem to game for hours every night.

Ehhh, you have a new toy. It'll wear off.

This (Hopefully). Something similar happened to me back in the early 2000's when i had my first serious gaming rig. It wore off after a couple of months and from that point on i always had a top gaming rig so i never got that feeling again.
