Does owning a top end pc change you as a person?

I'm still experiencing this.. it's been almost 2 months since i built my pc, i've barely left the house since. Girls hate it though, apparently i'm a nerd? Silly women!

I bought my first PC in 1992, a 286-12.5MHz. Immediately I was in the back bedroom all night configuring bits and bytes, IRQ's etc. rewriting config.sys and autoexec.bat to conserve every slice of memory from 1MB. Playing DOS games and doing some coding.

Now I am post nerd and do a little gaming, still some coding but it took a few years. :D

I used to be exactly like the OP. Then I met a girl, got married, had kids and even moved to a different country. Haven't played a game in about 4 years now.

OP...you're a lucky ******* and I hate you

This is pretty much exactly how I feel! Although I bought an XB1 recently, which she hates with a passion.

Sometimes I miss the days when I'd come home and sit and play Battlefield for 6+ hours on an evening

I'm so glad i'm single.. i have this most days :D

I had a girlfriend for a few months, i'm either out riding my bike or gaming, neither involve her, safe to say she hated me after i got bored of taking her out..

Funny. I just saw two 50 year old neighbours the other day with foldaway his and hers bikes, acting all giddy riding about the area.
