Hi Everyone,

I hope this is allowed to be posted but has anyone used one of these:

I have a lumia 1320 which doesn't have wireless charging as standard and this little device plugs into the USB and then can be sandwiched between the back case or a protective cover if you have one and means that you have a wireless charging phone(along with the charging plate of course)

The reviews are varied so I was wondering if anyone had one? Regardless of the phone you own.

Thanks :)

Absolutely no experience with this sort or thing, I can't help but think it's just going to wear the charging port on the phone. More likely to take knocks etc?

Personally, I'd stay clear.

Looks okay to me, seen them before, never used them though

What I have used is a receiver that goes IN the actual phone case (back cover) of my Galaxy S4, works great

Also bear in mind wireless charging tends to be slower

You see I thought the same originally but if it works, the connection will never be taken out of the USB port.

I have found a few pictures of different phones and basically the connection goes right into the USB so it barely sticks out, maybe 1mm at most, and then the flexible bit wraps round inside the back case of the phone - so nothing really sticks out.

Only an idea at the moment.

These are meant to go inside the cover as well. Although they have a range of 6mm so can be put outside the actual cover but within a phone case(I have a flip cover) so that would work as well.

TBH its mainly for work, im up and down all day from my desk and would be so much easier to just set down and lift up.

I will look into it a bit more I think

Sorry I didn't explain properly, inside the back cover of the gs4, on the phone body, are two contacts which my receiver touches... Which means my USB port is free to use as well

Not sure how often you use your USB port for other things (PC connection etc)... If not very often, then this is probably a good idea I'd say :)

Ah right OK. This solution is literally converting the USB port to wireless charging. Lumia 1520 has it, 1320 doesn't unfortunately.

I seldom connect my phone to my PC. Music is done via Spotify of Nokia music, documents are on onedrive etc etc. Only time I ever needed to in the past was using the windows insider program to get the latest beta builds...that went wrong but I wont be doing that on this phone. Too much work stuff connected to it to mess about with, Citrix/work exchange accounts etc

I think I will go for it, I mean tbh, the receiver plus the charging plate comes to £20 so if it doesn't work, I can pass it on to a friend who has a phone that supports wireless charging but doesn't have the charging plate. :)

Will post a wee review when I get it just in case people "may" consider it.
