I like the look of red orchestra! Apparently have rising storm on my steam already? Was it free at some point? Think i may buy the base game then!

Cod 1 has fond memories for me! Rifles only on Pavlov can be really tense with a small number of players! We play it at our lans we have with 6-8 players

How is this one shaping up...?

The graphics are really begining to show their age but in terms of level design and realistic weapons etc the Forgotten Hope 2 mod for Battlefield 2 is hard to beat. Plenty of historically accurate WW2 levels/maps.

Would love to be back in those day's thing's just aren't the same anymore competitively on the PC FPS gaming front.

it was never a game, they decided to switch from cryengine to ue4 as well and you don't just switch engines if you've already done a lot of work, so a long way off.

Funny really, I remember when these WW2 type games started flooding the market and everyone saying how awful they were compared to Quake etc.

So much nostalgia around Allied Assault & Call of Duty 1,2 & UO. Would be interesting to see a re-make of Day of Defeat, CS:GO style.

I agree, WW2 is the best era for FPS for me.

I would love an up to date Battlefield 1942 along the lines of the Forgotten hope 2 mod but a bit more interaction with surroundings and so on.

brought it however it doesnt seem to have added anything new to my steam library so i think i already had it in the form of rising storm/red orchestra 2 multiplayer? think i got that free some when so may have just wasted £6
