Looking for a definitive answer on using Multi 290X's, can brands be mixed?

Hi, within the next week i hope to be building myself a new PC.

I have one AMD ASUS R9 290X Direct CU 4GB that i will be using.

If i wanted to use crossfire in the future, would i need another ASUS R9 290X 4GB?

Or can i use any 4GB, R9 290X?

Does the brand actually matter?

You can crossfire any 290/290X/295x2 with any 290X.

Yes, Crossfire is extremely flexible in this regard.

Yes you can, providing the rest of your rig is up to it. Motherboard, PSU, etc.

Should be fine, I'd be looking at an i7 minimum for TriFire.
