reading the comments, its hella fun for the first two days, at which point you get dumped into games with people whove been playing for a year and have upgraded weapons, tanks and planes. So basically youre cannon fodder. Put me off.

brought ithowever it doesnt seem to have added anything new to my steam library so i think i already had it in the form of rising storm/red orchestra 2 multiplayer? think i got that free some when so may have just wasted £6
Free how? maybe a free weekend in the past..if you not bought it then you've not wasted £6

na i had rising storm/red orchestra 2 multiplayer on my library and installed it, loaded it up and thought it was just rising storm as thats the logo that came up on screen before it boots into the game. so i brought Red orchestra 2 just now for £6 and it hasnt added anything to my library so i assume what i had for free from before must have been the full package? not sure bit confused
*i do now have the single player on my library?

Rising storm/Red Orchestra for a great multiplayer. One of my favourite (and most played) games on steam.
Enemy Front had a decent enough single player (forget the online) it was buggy , but it gave me a nostalgic hit from Medal of honour allied assault and frontlines.

One to keep an eye out for in the steam sales then.
If you've just got RO2/RS then the best advice I can give is to get yourself on the 40-1 servers and play as rifleman until you learn the maps and how to play them.

Edit - Getting on ingame voip helps so much too. Listen to what needs to be done, get in the cap zones and try not to just stay outside picking people off. If you want to win, it's all about PTFO.

Feel like a right n00b but what do you mean by 40-1 servers? Player count?
Seems everyserver plays the realism rule set but ive put in 5 hoursalready and think i am getting used to it! Took your advice and have stuck with rifleman and will stay with that for the foreseeable!
Its really impressive to hear people actually communicating passionately over voip about the game. I havent got a mic myself due to kitten chewing it up the other day but will get Cheap one so i can get more from this.even just listening to them say where to go really helps. Getting used to using the map and T key to see where my team are to help identify enemies locations, did have 1 team kill though and felt bad but i was forgiven
Graphics are still quite nice too, smooth. Are there any visual mods about to bring it that little bit more up to date?
I love the idea of online campaign servers, thats unique! Overall impressed, nice change of pace from modern day stuff and really satisfying to get a kill as it feels like you have to work for it.
Have popped a few heads from a fair distance, and have had mine popped 3x's as much but its a learning curve

No worries about mods, it looks nice as it is tbh. May have a look into sweetfx!
40-1 servers, yeah! I believe they have both HoS and Rising Storm servers. RS is a bit more "run and gun" where HoS is a slightly slower pace. Love the eastern European setting in HoS so that is normally my favorite. Although there nothing like being on the Japanese team in a well organised banzai charge with everyone screaming down their mics!
