So got my 2nd 780ti and installed SLI

Got latest drivers, haven't overclocked and have a superflower leadex 850w psu

Now sometimes when just doing random things browsing web, youtube and games my computer ethier freezes or black screens and doesn't recover

First thing to test is remove your old card and test new Ti in system on its own. Play a couple games, maybe a few runs of Heaven, Valley or 3DMark if you have any of them. If it seems ok then its unlikely to be the card.

It could be a driver/ windows problem. It could be a power problem (altho a good 850W psu would be enough I think) or it could even be a motherboard problem i.e. a faulty pci-e socket which obviously wouldn't show up until such time as a card was installed in to it. Really just a case of troubleshooting and eliminating things 1 by 1, but my advice would defo be to test the new card in the system on its own first as that will allow you to rule out the possibility of the new card being the problem.

Yeah tested the card on its own seemed fine going to windows update/deleted drivers cclean then reinstall will report back after I watch the rugby

Its B grade ive tryed just the b-grade and it was crashing :/ put my old one back on its own and its working fine... think is faulty card, really want it tho as 780ti are really hard to find at a good price

downclock the gpu or bump up the voltage and see if that works. probably an unstable overclock on the b-grade gpu?

If it's B-grade and purchased from OCUK then I assume it's a Gigabyte Windforce 780ti? These cards were notorious for their instabilities on launch. However, you may want to check the bios version that's currently on the card. Gigabyte published a bios update that should improve stability. I bought a b-grade Windforce 780ti from here recently also. Updated the bios and it's been faultless.

Think I also remember there being something about them having to high an overclock which was causing them to crash..

If no joy with the bios, I would do what Tamzzy suggested. Download MSI Afterburner. Increase voltage and decrease gpu/memory frequency. Test with games, run error checking with OCCT or stress with FurMark until no errors experienced. If you find that you have to increase voltage or decrease clock speeds to a great degree and you are still within the 14 day window I would consider returning the card.
