US: The Walking Dead Season 5 (contains spoilers)

I thought it was really good. You never knew if it was all about to kick off at any moment, hopefully they get a nice rest before having to unleash hell again:D smokin' hot new wife for rick too!

Heh that's what I thought too, until the husband appeared. Just more of a challenge I guess.

I'm really enjoying season 5 overall.

I liked last nights episode, the framing of the conversations through the video camera, putting them in what would have previously just been a normal situation just showed how far they have gone, especially Rick (and Darryl).

They looked and acted liked caged animals with most vestiges of civilised society having gone, as Glenn said, "We had nearly stayed out there too long"

Great stuff!

Awesome episode. Really made me think.

That guy on the porch (blonde chicks husband) seems to be a strange one. The way he said 'Welcome to Alexandria', just gave me the creeps and fueled my questions even more. Why did he say it like that, there's got to be more to this compound than meets the eye.

Can't wait for more.

That's more like it!!! Some new characters who will hopefully stick around for a while and a new setting for the group to adjust to. Looking forward to the next episode :) Why didn't they just use 1 episode to get to this point?

it all does seem a little easy. something is definitely not quite right with where they are.

at least rick is believable and how i would be :p

how is this is going to go who knows ?

walkers get in or they get overrun many die.
they fight amongst themselves people die.
a rival group attacks people die.
the group that runs the place turn out to be weirdos :p

Bets on which if the new people dies first? My money is on the 'leader' of the scouting party. The one that Glenn floored.

I quite like them to mix it up a bit and turn the group into the 'bad guys'. Decide the others are week and try to drive them out etc

That's what I was thinking as well last night.

Apart from the guy on the porch, who made the place sound a bit creepy and something not quite right, if the place is genuine, then Rick and the gang are turning into 'the bad guys' with his 'We won't become weak, We'll just take over' comment at the end :D

Carol pretending to be the dumb housewife was pretty good. She's a clever one.

yes that was good, the way she kinda fumbled taking her rifle off and then made out she was the mother of the group.

i wonder what's going to happen to daryl seeing as they havent given him a job. but like they dont want him to hang around.

Brilliant episode, but you've got to credit the series so far for this too. It's been quite slow, with painful episodes about individual's deaths. They've got the audience exactly where they want us. We're desperate for a change of scenery but protective of the group we've watched struggle through. The psychology of both groups has been played very well.

Carol was a particular highlight for me too, she's as much of a poker player as the new governor. It will be interesting to see if Munroe is as good a judge of character as she thinks she is, will she see through it? Also, Munroe is undoubtedly good at bluffing, making her just as dangerous as some of Rick's group.

Daryl's subplot is nicely seeded too. I think he poses the greatest threat to Munroe, with hints dropped like "figuring him out". I think his unpredictability will play a key part.

Not really interested in the kids roles and hoping that doesn't turn into a young romance.
