quick q, are these still needed on the newer cards? got an oem r5 240 (i believe) that only has a DVI port and display port and was tempted to throw it in my htpc but for that i need hdmi.

Cheers

My 295x2 came with a DVI -> HDMI adapter, which I use to hook the card up to my A/V Receiver for audio.

That's about as new as you can get.

Cheers, if that came with the card then chances are its one made to work with it, back in the day you needed an actual ati/amd converter to pass the audio :), just need to know if i can source any old converter and if it will work.

Had them in the past but sods law i cant find any :o

Just checked and it does have 'ATI Radeon' moulded in to the plastic...

Considering how long they've been 'AMD' now, I guess these are still ones you are talking about :(
