Kevin Yang, the Director of China Research at iSuppli, has shared on his Weibo account that Huawei is indeed chosen by Google as one of the makers of the next Nexus smartphone. While the information isn't backed up by any evidence, it comes from a reputable source, as iSuppli is one of the largest mobile analytics companies around.

i personally cant wait to see if this turns out true or not. it'll no doubt be a great price/good spec!

what are your thoughts?
 
They really don't have any flagship mainstrean phones like Samsung, HTC, LG etc so I think there would be a slight lack of trust to make a beast that the Nexus has to be.
 
i missed the Nexus 6 because it was way more expensive than previous versions, and as I work in security I don't buy Huawei, so it looks like I'll be missing this one too :(

I'm not sure about that. I think if my Nexus 5 was built by a company I'd never heard of I'd still have bought it. If Google are happy enough to stick their name on it I'm happy too.

I doubt Google will let an OEM infect their Nexus.
 
I think Google are gonna be pretty strict on software. So I highly doubt they'd let Huawei put any spyware in the handset.

I think it'll be a monster spec, at a very reasonable price. Like the nexus 4 was :)

The 6 doesn't interest me as the screen is just too big.
 
The Huawei version is suppose to be the cheaper version of the 2 Nexus phone due this year & might not see light of day in Europe, as it will be kept to places like China, India ect.

LG is rumoured to be making a more expensive one based on the G4 hardware for these parts.
