Can someone tell me how loud this is supposed to be at the quietest possible setting? I just installed it with the CAM software and set the profile to silent. The fan speed is at 25% and pump speed around 2500, but its clearly audible from a good few metres away.

I was expecting near silence at these settings. Specifically I've gone from a Arc Midi R2 H105 with SP 120s quiet edition to a H440 X61 with stock fans. I was expecting this to be at most a little louder than the former during low load/silent profile but this is not the case.

this is your 3rd thread about the same problem . is the noise coming from the fans ? or the pump ? at 25% fan speed one would not exspect a lot of noise from the fans .
so it sound to me it could be your pump ?

more than likely the pump.

i have the original x60. At the minute i have replaced standard fans in case with the prolimatech redwings

so i have 9 140mm fans in case at the minute and on ocassion if the pump isnt on "quiet setting" i can hear it over everything else

if you want silent then go full custom loop

Can only conclude fans since I received a replacement and got the same noise. I'll confirm later tonight.

Before this I used SP120 quiets and when those went above 500RPM they were no longer silent to me. Certainly 800 RPM would be not be what I call quiet. So the fact that the fans on the Kraken can only go down to 800 RPM means it won't be as quiet as I want it to be.

I achieved silence with H105 with pump RPM at 1100 and SP120 quiets at 500 RPM and under. Its a shame you don't have as much control over the Krakens.
