Netanyahu: Iran a threat to the world.

What is? I do not know what you are on about?
I am not a Jehova Witness b.t.w.

My mistake, I do recall you belong to some millennial Christian church however.

And have you not been given the all clear now? Or are you still uncertain that you may have cancer, as would lead me to believe by your reaction above?

That has nothing to do with this thread, however I am currently still under investigation although the prognosis is increasingly positive.

The point remains that using such to insult someone is pretty disgusting.

You missed my big Nephillim hint. Off you trot.

Ok. This time I spent many, many seconds searching far and wide and eventually I came across this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nephilim

Very interesting actually. I like a dose of mythology on occasion. It actually mirrors a scientific discovery:

Gigantopithecus (from the Ancient Greek γίγας gigas "giant", and πίθηκος pithekos "ape") is an extinct genus of ape that existed from perhaps nine million years to as recently as one hundred thousand years ago, in what is now Nepal, China, India, and Vietnam, placing Gigantopithecus in the same time frame and geographical location as several hominin species.[2] The fossil record suggests that individuals of the species Gigantopithecus blacki were the largest known apes that ever lived, standing up to 3 m (9.8 ft), and weighing up to 540 kg (1,190 lb).

Some scientists estimate homo-sapiens, in our current form may have been around 200 thousand years. Which means we could have co-existed with these giants for 100 thousand years, maybe. So maybe this is a source for cultural stories about giants. An interesting thing to consider I think.

It was not an insult and to be frank I do not belive you took it completely as such. Call it a cheap shot or whatever. I am not here to gain brownie pounts or the merits of other users. I am not here to insult you. I could do that quite effortlessly. It was to convict you.

Or maybe simply the Bible records are correct. Who were the Titans b.t.w. that word just came to mind, were they not a mythological race of half God half Men in Greek mythology.

Enjoy the ride.

It's still pretty despicable. For a Christian, if you call yourself one, even more so as you should hold yourself to the higher standard your gospels require.

And convict me of what?

Well that is a position. Another position might be, can you justify that with empirical evidence ? Yet another position might be, science is an evidence based view of reality where as religion is faith based, no empirical evidence required.

If you care about truth, faith is not required, in fact it should be dismissed as what can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

Movie time. Bye.

Castiel, I know we are not exactly best buds, but I sincerely hope you make a full recovery.

Thankyou. I am getting there, just one more thing to check out.

I have nothing against you as a person, we simply disagree on some pretty irrelevant subjects is all.

no need for that.

Anything to say on Palestinian terrorism or does that get a pass?

I'm a little bemused by the rolleyes but since you ask, I do not condone terrorism by any Palestinian.

Do you have anything to say on the tactics of the Israeli government and military against Palestinian territory, homes and people ?

The US has waged war for less than what Israel is doing but nothing other than words is forthcoming. The hypocrisy is nauseating.

Aside from the fact that everything Dr Who said is pretty much indisputable.

Why thank you sir.

I like how this has now switched to the last desperate cries of Israel, Palestine never existed....

Palestine is just a name, like Israel is just a name. The same people have lived there for millennia and both Jews and Palestinians have shared DNA ancestry.

Like the Native Americans indigenous people are indigenous regardless of religion. America never existed until a load of settlers went over and called it the Americas right?

Don't confuse the name that has stuck with inherited rights.

Indeed Von Smallhausen!

“If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?”
David Ben Gurion (the first Israeli Prime Minister), quoted by Nahum Goldmann in “Le Paraddoxe Juif” (“The Jewish Paradox”), pp121.

Can't help notice your sig Dr.Who.

Opinions are like backsides,
everyone has one,
no need to hear it, and only others stink.

Really sums up your attitude to people who think differently to you. Very apt.

And in one post you prove that you think the same. At least everything I have posted is fact NOT opinion. I love how you haven't actually been able to answer one challenge in this thread.

lol. You are a fantasist aren't you. I've answered a few things in this thread. But you've probably erased them from your mind as you've made it abundantly clear that anything I say to you will be completely dismissed.

You haven't answered one of my points

You haven't posted anything worth answering to be quite honest. Most of what you say is either already known by most people or maybe I'm in agreement or maybe I just shake my head in disbelief. None of what you say provokes debate in my mind, it's simply regurgitated stuff that you've heard others say, with a dollop of fallacy thrown in from time to time.

I hate Hamas, period.

Hamas is a product of Israel's Oppression and this is what YOU can't see.

I have seen your video and many many others.

Like I said, Palestine has always been secular, it was vastly Christian, the years of oppression drove many to Islam as Christianity was not working. Islam teaches them to be happy with their lot and that they will be rewarded in Heaven if they take the pain now. In reality Islam like many other religions is control, and it keeps countries with severe abject poverty with very low crime! Unfortunately in EVERY religion there are factions that become extreme, in the US they have horrendous problems with Christian religious fanatics far more than Muslim fanatics.

All I am saying, and what you demonstrate is that you do not have a balanced viewpoint and have formed your opinions based on rockets from Gaza rather than what caused them to be fired, which in most cases is theft of land, collective punishment, long term jail without charge, violence against peaceful protests and many many other reasons.

Like I said, I spent many many months in Israel, I have some very valued friends in Israel, I have nothing against Jewish people, I have nothing against Israelis as a rule but I have a lot against the Israeli govt, that is the part you don't seem to recognise.

Sam talks about protecting the Jews when in reality, Jews hold massive power around the world and only Israel causes the anti Jewish behaviour, even many Jews around the world support Palestine, surely that should tell you something? Did you realise 112 members of the US congress hold dual Israeli/US citizenship? How about 9 members of Obama's administration? 23 Senators? They really are not the oppressed religion Sam makes them out to be. The rest of his speech is just the same lies and rhetoric Netenyahu would have you believe.

Israel isn't about Judaism it is about Zionism and Zionists believe that no Palestinians should exist in Israel's borders which they consider to include the occupied territories.

History is written by the victors, but truth is often far from the recorded facts. Watch something factual like Miko Peled, all of his statements can be verified rather than the half truths Sam has to tell. The mere fact he calls Palestinians "muslims" shows how inaccurate he really is. Predominately yes, but that has come from years of oppression.

If Palestine is worse, then Israel is to blame for that.
This is a very fair & balanced view.

It's a horrible subject to debate as so many people seem to have an axe to grind with one of the two factions, or are hyper-protective of the other & blind to all it's wrongs. It brings out the most biased, extreme & frankly irrational behaviour & the worst in many people. Half with a huge negative Muslim bias & the other with a Jewish one.

Firing missiles into Israel is wrong, but so is settlement building & ethnic displacement. There are no good or bad guys in this story, just cultures perpetuating a cycle of hostility, misery & death.
