Buuuuuurn!
So badly burned at first I thought he was a victim of white phosphorus.
Buuuuuurn!
I saw you like Wikipedia so here is an article about UN sanctions and Israel/Palestine.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rights_in_Israel
"As of 2013, Israel had been condemned in 45 resolutions by United Nations Human Rights Council since its creation in 2006—the Council had resolved almost more resolutions condemning Israel than on the rest of the world combined. The 45 resolutions comprised almost half (45.9%) of all country-specific resolutions passed by the Council"
This is who you support as a democracy, and their violations of human rights against people they are obliged to protect under international law.
Israel is rated as a flawed democracy bordering on hybrid regime. Not a full democracy like the US and UK.
You don't need to explain all of Israel's faults to me. I know what they do, and much of it I find unacceptable. Israel do some really bad things, we know this. My position is Palestine is worse. This is the bit you don't like though isn't it ? You can't get your head around why I feel this way can you ? Hence the silly rant and the slurs. If you watch the Sam Harris video I posted, he is more or less is in line with my thinking regarding this.
I hate Hamas, period.
Hamas is a product of Israel's Oppression and this is what YOU can't see.
I have seen your video and many many others.
Like I said, Palestine has always been secular, it was vastly Christian, the years of oppression drove many to Islam as Christianity was not working. Islam teaches them to be happy with their lot and that they will be rewarded in Heaven if they take the pain now. In reality Islam like many other religions is control, and it keeps countries with severe abject poverty with very low crime! Unfortunately in EVERY religion there are factions that become extreme, in the US they have horrendous problems with Christian religious fanatics far more than Muslim fanatics.
All I am saying, and what you demonstrate is that you do not have a balanced viewpoint and have formed your opinions based on rockets from Gaza rather than what caused them to be fired, which in most cases is theft of land, collective punishment, long term jail without charge, violence against peaceful protests and many many other reasons.
Like I said, I spent many many months in Israel, I have some very valued friends in Israel, I have nothing against Jewish people, I have nothing against Israelis as a rule but I have a lot against the Israeli govt, that is the part you don't seem to recognise.
Sam talks about protecting the Jews when in reality, Jews hold massive power around the world and only Israel causes the anti Jewish behaviour, even many Jews around the world support Palestine, surely that should tell you something? Did you realise 112 members of the US congress hold dual Israeli/US citizenship? How about 9 members of Obama's administration? 23 Senators? They really are not the oppressed religion Sam makes them out to be. The rest of his speech is just the same lies and rhetoric Netenyahu would have you believe.
Israel isn't about Judaism it is about Zionism and Zionists believe that no Palestinians should exist in Israel's borders which they consider to include the occupied territories.
History is written by the victors, but truth is often far from the recorded facts. Watch something factual like Miko Peled, all of his statements can be verified rather than the half truths Sam has to tell. The mere fact he calls Palestinians "muslims" shows how inaccurate he really is. Predominately yes, but that has come from years of oppression.
If Palestine is worse, then Israel is to blame for that.
Guess we need to agree to disagree.
But you still haven't really fielded any sort of counter argument or said anything of substance. Your responses are to just dismiss what people say, post videos in response to questions you can't answer and then give a condescending response if someone prompts you to actually answer questions instead of doing the above.

Where did you get this from? The area has been majority Muslim since the 12th Century CE.
No I'm not a shillI do have Jewish friends though and really value their friendship. We socialise sometimes and have interesting chats about the whole Israel Palestine thing and religion etc. So maybe that's why I'm a little pro Israel maybe ? Or maybe it's because on balance I honestly and genuinely feel that Israel is the lesser of the two evils in that conflict. I've always felt that way about it even before I knew any Jewish people.
Not suggesting you actually are, just making a joke in line with many serious comments in other threads when people are seen as very pro something.
A common misconception, but Palestine historically has had a significant Arab Christian population, Until the 20th century around 25-35% of the indigent population would have belonged to a Christian denomination. The formation of Israel actually impacted the Christian population enormously, with large numbers being exiled or leaving during the Arab-Israeli war an later.
Somewhere in the region of 18% of Palestinians globally are Christian.
Across the Middle East there are sizeable Christian communities, the largest in Egypt with around 10-12 million Christians, predominantly Copts.
Whose misconception? I didn't say anything about it not having a significant Christian population but I disagreed with the assertion that Palestine was "vastly Christian".

I have no real reason to distrust the above link which disagrees with your figures.
The anti-semitism argument usually is used by Israel itself to respond to any criticisms.
I'm starting to think that Sliver is Israeli, I just can't see why someone would be in such support of them otherwise.

He reminds me of those muslims that always refuse to condemn terrorist groups no matter what.
