Netanyahu: Iran a threat to the world.

I see them as bullies.

I just wish more people stood up to their abhorrent behaviour.

Thats the problem nobody wants to.

Israel get away with so much **** and their line is "We are defending ourselves"

If was to pick a side I am on the side of the oppressed and downtrodden... Regardless of Race, Religion, Sexual Orientation.

The fact of the matter is Israel is the new South Africa...

So care to explain this ?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamas

Or are you one of those people on these forums that's under the delusion that every time Wiki is linked, it must be immediately ignored ?

Perhaps you should actually read it. The UK Government do not list HAMAS as a whole as a terrorist group. The UK Govt recognise the difference between the political wing Hamas (as they did with Sinn Fein, an example you rely on) as being distinct from the militant wing The Hamas Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades who are listed as Terrorist group by the UK.

United Kingdom The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades have been listed as a proscribed organization under the Terrorism Act since 2001, but Hamas as a whole is not listed.

You're just splitting hairs now.

Abbas is a puppet, Hamas are the ones with the real power in Palestine.

No Hamas have power in Gaza, Fatah have power in Wet Bank, there is no "real power" in Palestine, they are divided between two camps.

Care to explain how or what makes Hamas a terrorist organisation?

I am not, if I am then so were you earlier with regard Sinn Fein.

For example the UK Govt do not communicate or recognise the authority of any terrorist organisation...yet they support and call repeatedly for dialogue between Israel and Hamas.

I disagree. Hamas has a massive influence with the people of Palestine due to it's stance against Israel, it's consultative councils, military wing and social welfare programs. Influence is power.

Suicide bombings. Rockets into civilian areas, kidnapping and murdering innocent Israeli kids. Using human shields. Need I go on ?

Of course you disagree. It does not fit with your opinion. And why does HAMAS have this stance against Israel? Because of the horrors they have visited on their people. Has it been since their illegal state was created? Since their land is being slowly taking over by cockroaches? Since the second class treatment of their normal civilians?

I might be a Terrorist too if my home was destroyed by invaders.

Some would say that about Sinn Fein and the IRA... I dont hear you cry foul there...
You are can be very subjective you choose to ignore facts.

And Israel have done so much worse...

Influence in the West Bank, as in Gaza is illustrated in democratic elections...which Fatah won. Hamas are attempting to push Fatah out and despite a range of reconciliation talks which thus far have failed the likely outcome should Hamas try to oust Fatah would be a crack down by Fatah security forces supported by Israel...this happened before, (in fact Israel, who are the de facto authority in the West Bank, have already removed Hamas officials from The West Bank when it feels they are a destabilising influence) as for the last decade prior to the resumption of talks between Hamas and Fatah, Hamas was totally suppressed and effectively removed from The West Bank.

The social welfare programs etc you speak of, are only in Gaza, they do not exist in the West Bank where the government is The Palestinian Authority.

It can only come from people like us lobbying our MP's and peacefully protesting.

Indeed. I have done it several times.

It's kinda in my blood as my grandfather was the Director-General of Arab-British Centre in London. So feel quite passionate about it. :)
