**GTAV OFFICIAL SYSTEM SPEC RELEASED BY ROCKSTAR**

Forgot about this topic! :D

Borrowed my mates copy of GTA 5 on the PS3 and i'm having a right laugh with it. Have it installed on my SSD in the PS3 and it runs surprisingly well and looks amazing, honestly impressed that Rockstar could pull this off on the old consoles. Looking forward to the PC version too, will propably get it when it's on sale though.

Found this link while nosying on the Biostar facebook page. Not sure if it's been posted elsewhere, on the graphics settings, GTAV appears to have it's own benchmark.

With an i5 4670 and GTX 970 runs 45-50FPS with all the best except AA.

With those recommended specs I was expecting a solid 60 with a 970. Shame.

That image is was made by someone at nfohump who was bored and made some concept settings menu for PC. There is a whole thread of fan concepts on gtaforums.com.

Of course someone at wccftech or fudzilla or videocardz saw it, wrote a sensationalist title and watched the page visits rise and moneyz roll in.

Kaapstad likes a benchmark mode because he likes to compare performance and so do a lot of guys on ocuk. Benchmark modes make this easier.

Carius move some of games on C: to your vertex 2 such that you'll have enough space for gta v.

I played it over Christmas '13 on the PS3, and whilst it was great fun I really noticed the low FPS in the faster sections of the game, it gave me stuttering eyes when I looked away from the screen, must be low 20s late teens easy, not nice.

65gb?
i have a 60gb vertex 2 sat to one side doing nothing and im using a 128gb 840 pro (with 42gb spare),
so that leaves me with 2 options,
use the vertex 2 for OS and my 840 pro for storage :(
or buy another, larger, SSD :(
either one of the two options are bad for me :(

Maybe symlink some of the game folders, or if running Windows 8 you could span a storage space over the two drives to give you a single 65Gb pool.

Edit: it seems that you can't allocate a partition to a storage space, it has to be the whole drive.

Digital foundry did the test and found it was always around low 20 and did drop below.

Same thing happened to me when I played FONV on the 360. At first glance I was very, very impressed. Entered the Powder Ganger prison and started a ruck and about 30 of them rushed in. kerawllllllll.......

Was so bad I scoffed and immediately sold the 360. Never again.

One other thing I noticed yesterday (playing Max Payne 3 again at 4k) is that it uses all 6 cores of my 5930k CPU.

I had Hardware Monitor open and all 6 showed maximum usage at 90+%!

I didn't monitor the 'Hyperthreading' fake cores either.

Anyway, if Max Payne 3's iteration of the RAGE engine from 2012 has proper multi-threading support then i'm excited to see how the updated GTA V RAGE engine performs. Maybe another game that might work better with 6-8 cores?!

There is no need for steam mover apps anymore, you can create new libraries from within vanilla steam.

Just go to settings -> downloads -> steam library folders and create a new library on the vertex.
