So, I have sold all 3 of my Titans and will be getting a pair of Titan Xs but in the interim, I want to try AMD once again, so what card and why should I get it?

I will be ordering around 3pm, so any advice on which 290/X is worth getting will be welcomed.

I would spend as little as possible if you are going to replace the AMD card with the Titan X's. Cheapest 290 I would go for.

Haha, no April fools and deadly serious but I can't blame you for thinking like that :D:D:D

I do run AMD now and then and now is the time for again. You never know, I might be that blown away, I stick with them and I might even get some new friends now (and lose some old one's) :D

Edit:

I did check the MM but sold sadly :(

Why buy something brand new for the interim?

Why not just buy a lil cheap used GPU, so you don't lose much money. Better yet should have kept 1 Titan..

If you really want to give AMD a try, the 290X 8GB is the best option imho.

Dunno if any of this still applies (290):

Powercolor PCS+ has glued coils
Sapphire Tri-X has Hynix

Quietest not sure, OCing I think TriX is supposed to be a good bet.

This looks like a good deal on two. Close in price to the 290 non x. Perhaps those using the same cooler could give there 2 cents.

Cheap enough and should tide you over til the next Gen arrives.

That looks like the card to get, as I won't be water cooling in the foreseeable future. I will order now.

Call me a fanboy or whatever but I have no interest in going CF, as AMD still don't have CF profiles for the games I play. I don't want to get peeved from the off and would like to give them a fair chance and a single card will be fine for now.

I can run 120Hz on my 1440P and ED is my most played game, which isn't that smooth anyway (as anyone who plays it will attest to).
