Hi all,

Can anyone confirm if their Nokia mobile phone box came sealed or unsealed?

I'm looking at getting a new 1520 but the seller claimed Nokia don't seal their boxes, but I thought they did, or at least they used to?

Thanks :)

I'm not one hundred percent sure on nokias.. But my Sony z3 compact came unsealed and that was from Amazon. I think everyone who got one on these forums came unsealed too.

I got a work provided brand new Lumia 635 two weeks ago. The box is sitting in front of me on my desk. Sealed with a Microsoft branded sticker that is grey. So that's 100% confirmation for you, it SHOULD absolutely be sealed.

I bought a box opened returned phone and there are traces of a seal on the box, but the seal had been removed. I don't think the ebay article will be much help as that's from 2008.

I bought a 1320 over Christmas and it was sealed with a sticker where the inner part slides out.

Aside from that there is nothing else sealing it.

I have bought a lot of 635s and previously 625s and 720s from two major IT suppliers over the last 18 months or so for work, the 635s are not sealed and I'm almost positive the 625s and 720s were never sealed either. No residue from removing the stickers either. The same phones bought from Vodafone enterprise have always arrived sealed with a Vodafone sticker where the inner box slides out. Odd that my experience is completely contradictory to xdcx's with the same model  I've also not seen the Nokia sticker in Stelly's post on our Lumias but have seen them on some Nokia dumbphones we bought.

Thanks chaps, interesting info for future purchases.

On this occasion the stupid company didn't respond in time for me to make a purchase and it was sold in the mean time! :(

Weird isn't it? Our phones come from goodness knows where but my 635 box definitely has a Microsoft sticker seal. Our provider is EE, but it basically came in a jiffy bag with teh EE SIM card taped to the sealed Lumia box.
