Chappie (Neill Blomkamp, Hugh Jackman, and Die Antwoord)

Looks like an interesting film and as many I am hoping it falls more like District 9 rather than Elysium. Also, having recently rewatched Newsroom again, I am big fan of Dev Patel so hopefully this sends him on to bigger and better things.

lol Die £&$£_"*$&£"_ Antwoord! Dev Patel?!!! Hugh Jackman! This is like 2009 all over again (or something). Unexpected but positive stuff - I like the concept and Blomkamp is solid in my book.

This looks like its going to be worth a watch.

Looks Like a mashup of ShortCircuit, Bicentennial Man & I Robot I think it could work exploring not just the Human condition and conciousness but the relationship between man and machine not just the good or the bad but the gray areas in between I look forward to it.

Tempbot - Neill Blomkamp

Blomkamp is a sellout, he betrayed his fans with Elysium, I suspect he has done the same with this robot dog food film.

I feel like I've already seen it. Can't get excited at all.

Someone needs to gaffa tape Neill's mind shut before he gets to the Alien franchise and kills it stone dead.
And someone needs to remove the Ewe Boll movies from his collection, he's been paying far to much attention to that nutcase.

I am looking forward to seeing Neil Blomkamp's take on the Alien universe, but I must admit I am starting to wonder now whether it will turn out to be as good as I'm hoping.

District 9 was fantastic, and although Elysium was not a bad film, it was disappointing. Every director has a poor film, and when you have such a great first film, that's always going to be a tough act to follow.

Seeing the trailer for Chappie though, didn't really fill me with hope that this film was going to be back to the quality he created with D9; and now, seeing the reviews, was D9 a one off?

District 9 has got to be one of the worst films I've ever seen. I have tried to watch it half a dozen times, never getting to the end.

I quite liked Elysium, not ground breaking or anything, but better than D9.

This looks quite good though.

Did you watch a different version to the rest of us? D9 is brilliant.

Lol. To each his own I suppose.
