Finding myself increasingly tempted by these as I consider what family car to get with baby on the way later this year.

Anyone on here got one and can weigh in with their thoughts? Going to try and get a test drive sorted this weekend but would like to hear from some people who have/had on.

I've only had one as a loan car and I quite liked it but it didn't offer anything to me that an Octavia estate didn't so I wouldn't buy one.

My Dad has one and I actually quite like it. It's not totally my thing as it's a diesel but it's comfy and is huge inside. It has full leather, climate control, heated seats etc etc and it goes quite well too.

I recommend you test drive one, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Good family cars, great use of space. However we preferred the superb due to having a dog so opted for that for our family car instead

Also worth looking at the Skoda Roomster, the Yeti looks a bit like another mini-SUV to me whereas the Roomster was a little different.

I've had a look at a Yeti a few times as I like the idea of them.

The problem I found, the boots are actually, not very big, and the engine I'd want - the 1.8 TSi - is basically impossible to get unless you order new/willing to compromise on trim.

Its a nice enough car, but at the price they are, you IMO can get better things

I had 4x4 one as a hire car - it had all the mod cons (heated seats, panoramic sunroof and big sun roof, cruise control, sat nav etc...).

I thought it was a fantastic car, which I was completely surprised by - as a family car it would be sorely tempting - but I still think I would prefer and estate.

Picking up a 1.2tsi dsg elegance on 25th. After looking at the usual suspects and driving the diesels too, well happy.

I have one and I love it. I have headroom and legroom (I'm 6'4" and tall in the trunk with short arms). However, it doesn't exactly have a lot of room in the boot if you have the spare tyre there.

My neighbour had one and loved it, he then saw my octavia estate vrs and took that for a drive and enjoyed that as well. Can't fault either.

I considered the yeti last year, but it was a bit sparse equipment wise, a little underpowered across the range and a bit smaller than I was expecting.

However, they are well priced, and if you want a very small crossover with adequate performance etc, they are worth a look.
